Lecture Capture Upgrade
Project and Problems
 Addressing lecture capture redesign venture in Australian University
 Objective is to upgrade lecturers capture facilities in five of the university
campuses
 Some lecture rooms are locked where upgrade of lecture capture devices is
not possible
 Security officers of university campus are not informed about project work on
weekend
 Not responding towards upgrade code and failure of IT devices and equipment
 Lack of communication among project stakeholders and university staffs

Analysis
 Evaluate validity and reliability of gathered information
 Descriptive research work is helpful for describing characteristics
of the research phenomenon (Bresler & Stake, 2017).
 Secondary data collection used by reviewing case studies
 Qualitative data analysis is used for gathering data on theoretical
ideas based on project management concepts

Findings on Project
Management Knowledge
Areas Scope is to upgrade lecture rooms across five campuses in 160
classrooms of Australian University
 Identification of risks as communication issues and lack of project
planning (Binder, 2016).
 Unscheduled project activities causes delay in upgrade work
 Delay in project causes increase in project cost (Kliem & Ludin, 2019).
 Planning and controlling or project budget by making an assumption of
project delays
 Reduction of over budget of the upgrade project
