Topic- To investigate the contribution to the continuous improvement of nursing practice. With
reference to case study on “NHS”.
INTRODUCTION
Nursing termed out as an internal part of the health care system that cover the publicity of
health, care of mentally ill, hindrance of illness and support to disabled people of all ages
(Nursing Quality and Performance Improvement Plan, 2018). Therefore, nurse maintains
patients dignity at time of providing knowledgable and skilled care. Additionally, nursing
profession defined as an support for the individuals, communities, families and population.
Furthermore, nurses plays her roles as caregiver patients and aids to carry off physical necessity,
foreclose illness and provides better treatment for ill conditions.
The present report based on topic as to bring continuous improvement in nursing
practices that collaborate, develop and communicate professionally to provide high quality care.
Furthermore, study will put emphasise on following activities as to outlines aims and
objectives on given topic, methodologies will be explained to adopt suitable methods to carry
out research activities appropriately. Lastly, result and discussion will be given with help of
articulating the themes.
Aims and objectives-
Aim
To investigate the contribution to the continuous improvement of nursing practice. With
reference to case study on “NHS”.
Objectives
To articulate the importance of Nursing practices to provide better care to patients.
To engage and empowers nurses to act as leader in providing high quality patients care.
To determine the impact hand hygiene with handling of intravenous cannulas that affects
rate of infection to patients.
To recommend measures that leads to have continuous improvement in nursing practices
to offer better quality hospital service and community health care.
Statement of the problem
The assignment relates to topics as to investigate the contribution to the continuous
improvement of nursing practice. Therefore, the problem must be identified with handling of
intravenous cannulas that impacts infection rate to patients. In order to get overcome from it,

nurses must direct about to have better hand hygiene so that chances of infection can get
reduced. Henceforth, the another issues must be identified that relates with ethical issues and
diversity at workplace that disagrees to support the need of patients and help them allowing
better care facilities.
Purpose of study
The research is based on to bring continuous improvement to nursing practices for bring
quality health care to patients. The main purpose of this study is to provide better knowledge to
patients about hand hygiene while using of intravenous cannulas so that rate of infection to
patients can get reduced. It will be undertaken to promote improved health care by identifying
issues and implementing and monitoring corrective actions.
Henceforth, Continuous improvement in nursing practices aids to determining the
problems, executing and observing the whole scenario to take corrective actions that leads to
effectiveness (Padilha, Machado and Ramos, 2018). Additionally, NHS is taking initiatives to
maintain prime work surroundings to attract and hold nurses within entities by improving their
working experiences.

1. What is the importance of Nursing practices to provide better care to patients?
2. How to engage and empowers nurses to act as leader in providing high quality patients
care.
3. What is the impact of hand hygiene with handling of intravenous cannulas?
Review of literature
Health care services plays crucial role for promoting and maintaining health, prevention
and to manage disease and reduction in rate of premature death (Lopes Campelo and et.al.,
2018). Thus, this sector is changing rapidly. In order to bring effective work facilities the there
are number of programs as effective heath care that intends to improve the quality of health care
with providing best services to patient.
As per the view of Ellis, (2019) stated that professional nurses must wash their hand
hygiene in everyday practice to safe for their patients. The main purpose behind this is to
prevent the spread of germs and to reduce the rate of infection. Therefore, nurses must be aware
about the hand washing before using intravenous cannulas to prevent the spread of bacteria
between patients to minimise the spread of disease. Additionally, it can be stated that quality
