Introduction
Tassie Hardrock Enterprises is positioned as a large company which is responsible for
manufacturing household appliances along with certain electronic gadgets. The company has is
established operations for more than 25 years and is seen as market leader or its exceptional
commitment to quality and product durability. Recently the company has come under a new
management and a new team that includes younger employees and these staff are showing
change resistance (Al-Haddad and Kotnour 2015). The objective of the report is to analyse the
case study of Tassie Hardrock Enterprises and analyse its existing continuous improvement
policies based on which change management, communication along with risk management plan
will be developed for attaining the objective of successful organisational change.
a) Analysing Internal and External Environments for Preparing a Change
i) Identification of Strategic Change Needs
Certain strategic change needs that is considered being necessary to be implemented in
Tassie Hardrock Enterprises is to implement necessary changes within their teams in order to
make them prepared for attaining strategic business objective of business expansion. Changes
will also be needed in the existing panning and communication process of the company for
making any merger decision successful (Butt, Naaranoja and Savolainen 2016). Employee
change resistance to restructured and redesigned jobs in the company must be addressed through
introducing new training programs for the newly developed teams.

ii) Review of Existing Policies and Practices
From analysing the case study of Tassie Hardrock Enterprises it has been gathered that
the continuous improvement policy of the company considers ensuing that the employees’ role is
to continuously look for ways to enhance processes and systems in making sure that that they are
efficient and effective (Cameron and Green 2015). The existing continuous improvement
practices in Tassie Hardrock Enterprises forms a part of the company’s overall philosophy of
suitable use of DMAIC (define, measure, analyze, improve, control) quality system in
successfully performing process improvement projects or activities (Moran and Brightman
2015).
