Overview of Organisation
The endeavours of WHO has been successful causing
world life expectancy to steadily increase.
The World Health Organization help to promote the
society through various ways;
Raising awareness of extent of illness (World Health
Organization 2000).
Taking care of suffering as well as death among
mothers and children along with its impact on health
and social, economic development
Contribution to the Common Good.
WHO have contributed to the common good on society through
the following ways.
The organization acts a necessary role in the global
governance of health as well as disease. Due to core global
functions of developing, monitoring along with monitoring
the international norms and standards, WHO contributes
several factors towards common goals (Wheeler et al.
2015).
Globalization offers scopes and challenges for the global
health and its distribution. In addition, prospects for health
enhancement can be processed through transfer of medical
and public health knowledge (Louis et al. 2016).
On the other hand, globalization accelerates the spread of
infectious diseases as these are evidenced with the help of
rapid outbreak of Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome.
My Professional Contribution
The skills that is obtained from their of professional help to interact with
other people lead in to national unit.
WHO deal with health related issue thus help in promotion of good health
among people ,since individuals are educated in feeding on balance diet and
most citizen are advised to visit hospital in case the are sick. Furthermore,
the organization is loyal to the country since it normal give support to those
need people thus improving the need of sharing and loving one another
What skill sets from your profession could contribute the organisations
projects?
My profession as a social worker helps to take part in the project. In
addition, I am a trained medical first aid worker. This skills helps to
contribute in the project.
I, with the associated with WHO team acted an important role in the
countries WHO work in. I helped the people who are suffering from several
chronic diseases. I tried to give them advise how to take care by own and
stay healthy with proper daily care. I contacted with local government and
administration and take their help to arrange program for overall health
improvement of the people.

The organization is one of the world’s leading organization
that is devoted to enhancement of health of the nearly
seven million across the world. The organization is
headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland and affiliated with
the United Nations. The purpose of WHO is attainment by
every people of the highest possible level of health. The
organization is considered as a specialized agency
concerned regarding international public health.
Bangladesh, Bhutan, Korea, India, Maldives, Indonesia,
Myanmar, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Thailand and Timor Leste are
the members of WHO. In the present study, overview of
the organization and its contribution are described.
