Center for Disease Control and prevention department of United States have
involved them in COVID-19 prevention program due to increasing number of cases on
the global level. This staff is working with state and local health department in
identifying and evaluating persons related to COVID-19 test in order to prevent
transmission of this novel virus. In addition, CDC team is working with collaboration
with department of Homeland Security at almost 11 airports. People returning from
China to United States are being screened to ensure safety (Fulton, Brownlee & Messonnier,
2020). They are also working with other agencies of United States in multi operative
division to ensure safety evacuation of U.S citizens from COVID-19 effected countries.
In addition, they have set up a monitoring period of 14 days for people returning from
effected countries. CDC department has also helped in developing specific guidance
related to health care, prevention and patient management in order to prevent
transmission of this novel virus. They have also adopted communication program in
which all the significant information is being offered to public in order to make them
aware about this dangerous disease.
In addition, CDC department has launched a traveler notice in which all the related
health information is being mentioned which can affect health of person who is on travel.
On January 27, CDC department has issued a level 3 notice related to China travel in
which people are informed to avoid unnecessary travel to this country (Haynes &
Messonnier, 2020). Then they have introduced new level 1 notice which provides
information related to possible precautions while travelling to countries like Hong Kong,
Singapore and Japan. In addition both level 2 and level 3 notices were served to South
Korea and Iran. Soon, this level notice was also practiced for Italy which happened to be
most affected country after China and Iran. CDC has also posted notice to avoid travel
through cruise in all Asia regions for safety purpose.
CDC department has engaged in airport screening after 23 February in which they
have screened almost 46 thousand travelers which has arrived from China and other
affected countries. They have limited 14 days travel to China for U.S citizen for
prevention act. Passengers are being screened for possible Symptoms of COVID-19 Such
as fever, cough and breath shortness (Jernigan, 2020). If any traveler is found with these
symptoms then that person must be immediately considered to hospital wards which are
kept isolated from other wards. On this duration almost 11 people were referred to
hospital related to these symptoms in which one person was test positive and other were
referred to isolated wards for 14 days.
CDC department has also introduced persons under investigation program under
which person which are at high risk related to COVID-19 are identified and are being
treated for further transmission of this novel virus (Zwald et al., 2020). Immediate
response is being provided to inquiries which are being raised by health care clinics and
public health providers by conducting test for COVID-19 in United States. Almost 23
