Introduction
Corporate governance refers to the structure of rules, regulations, procedure that are used to direct as well as

shareholders, business managers and other stakeholders of the company. Further, it also helps in running a business in
systematic manner. For this purpose, suitable corporate governance strategies are likely to implement by the companies so
that they can improve overall performance significantly (Singh and Delios, 2017). The present report is based on Swatch
that is a well-known smart watchmaker based on Switzerland. The company was founded in the year of 1983 The present
study will cover effective strategies of corporate governance along with significance of such strategies to improve the
overall performance of the company in competitive market.

in business. The present study will help in formulating suitable strategies of corporate governance so that the performance
of the entity can be improved in future period of time. In addition, it will also make the researcher enable to identify the
significance of corporate governance strategies to enhance the overall performance of business entity. In personal context,
the research project will help in developing personal knowledge in terms of communication skills, presentation skills,
research and data analysis capabilities and more to gain growth in future career.

operations of the organization in significant manner. Here, board of directors are responsible to maintain corporate
governance within the company. Additionally, corporate governance is helpful in facilitating effective communication
between shareholders and managers of the company so that appropriate decisions can be taken. Basically, it provides a
system to direct as well as control the company in significant manner. Besides this, corporate governance also helps in
maintaining transparency within the business. With the help of effective corporate governance, it is possible to cultivate the
culture of integrity that will lead towards sustainability and positive performance of the entity. Further, it enhances the
accountability of all individuals & team within the organization to avoid future mistakes

According to Chepkwei, (2020), It is analyzed that the major strategy of effective corporate is to establish an
independent board. The major role of board of directors is to assist the company in order to make effective decisions to
satisfy the need of stakeholders such as customers, shareholders, investors and more. The main reason to have board of
members is providing clear feedback and reviews to make further improvements. Further, it also helps the business
managers to make sound decisions in effective manner. The other strategy of corporate governance is to prepare separate
executives from management. There is requirement to have CEO, CFO and more to perform daily activities of business and
to handle the issues related to corporate governance. Further, there is requirement to have a suitable plan for financial
reporting. This helps in promoting integrity and accountability in business in an efficient manner. In context of Swatch, they
are required to follow effective strategies of corporate governance so that organizational performance also gets enhanced in
future period of time.

Section Five: Research approach and methodologies
Research Philosophy: It is based on the believes and assumptions of the individuals regarding a particular aspects. From two major
philosophy, the present study is based on positivism wherein the data is analyzed in numerical form to get better results in future.

Research approach: In the present project, deductive approach is taken into consideration so that the research can be completed in
successful manner.
Research methods: For completion of current project study, quantitative method is taken into consideration. It is based on
numerical data and information to gain authentic results in future period of time.
Data collection: In context of present research report, data will be collected through primary as well as secondary methods. In
context of primary information, the data will be taken from respondents via questionnaire whereas secondary information will be
taken from various websites, articles, journals and more.
Sampling: In present context, samples have been selected through random sampling technique. In present context, 30 employees of
the respective company have been chosen as respondents to gather necessary amount of data.
