The report is prepared to focus on the concepts of sustainability that can benefit a
business using CSR 2.0. The topic will present ideas about an established business that is active
and has adopted various sustainability management practices for maintaining good ecological
balance and keeping the environment safe and healthy too. Green Business Canada’s business
centers around the collection of stories and information from various sources related to the
management of sustainability and circular economy (Tai & Chuang, 2014). The well-known
business has worked with various leaders to create green changes, acted as a non-political
organization that provided insights and influenced other businesses towards greener approaches,
and fulfilling the corporate social responsibilities to manage sustainability all throughout.
According to Visser (2011), The CSR 1.0 was incremental and uneconomic, due to
which, it was replaced with CSR 2.0 that included a new set of principles related to CSR to
create a positive impact on business and society. Due to lack of environmental cue, poor vision
and mission statement, companies often failed to fulfill its environmental obligations and thus
the CSR 2.0 could be beneficial for making people understand the important of sustainable green
measures (Visser, 2011).
Green Business Canada manages blog that consists of latest information provided in the
form of articles and stories associated with the sustainability and greener approaches. The
business provides aspiration for the other business and allows them to move towards goal

sustainable management, which is quite unique within the particular industry. (Cheng, Ioannou

The business has showed its uniqueness and creativity by making information about
sustainable measures and greener approaches that can be suitable for becoming socially
responsible. According to Ni & Van Wart (2015), one of the practices include providing
information on recycling that contain various stories revolving around recycling based on 5Rs,
i.e., reduce, reuse, rethink, recover and recycle. Stories include reducing wood wastes that are
generated as by-products of sawmilling operations and can be managed by filling wood holes
and also using the sawdust as bio-filter for treating odorous air and even reduce the emissions of
harmful gases. The businesses focusing on sustainable transportation in the future are also put
focus on such as Tesla’s partnership working with Panasonic to make updates of X battery and
Model S (Ni & Van Wart, 2015). This will be done by extending its suppliers and enhancing the
supplies of raw materials and resources required to manage business sustainably.
Being a leader within the concerned industry, GBC addresses the issues with
sustainability in Canada through the lens of business, entrepreneurship and innovation. The
articles also present information about the Saubhagya powered universal electrification
concerned with the goal of providing access to 24*7 electricity in every country. Servaes &
Tamayo (2013) argued that the contamination of waste plastics has often clogged the waterways
and green spaces, which not only degrades the ecological balance in nature but also affects the
community at large. This is an environment challenge, which must be dealt with properly and
thus GBC has made information available for influencing other business to move towards net-
zero emissions, also known as net-zero footprints (Servaes & Tamayo, 2013). The industrial
