Executive summary
AB InBev is one of the leading beer corporations globally, encountered severe challenges.
Numerous key trends, for instance, an increase of craft beers and localization of consumption
were rapidly renovating the beer industry. Enterprise required to fastening up on the innovative
trends and develops disruptors themselves; e-commerce, craft beers, innovative business models,
and home brewing, were some of those. The report will discuss the key competencies and
capabilities of the company and the competitive advantage of a company to analyze the growth
strategy of the company.
The key tools used to assess the resources, capabilities, and competencies for AB InBev included
VRIO framework, BCG matrix, and porter’s five-force model. The recommended growth
strategy for AB InBev would be “more innovation at the level of a business model.” The reason
being there are many opportunities that the company can gain through innovation and can
enhance the competitive advantage of the company like technology development, health concern
products, acquisitions and mergers, enhancing brand presence, and agile working teams.
