Coursework 2 will exercise your short report writing to help you communicate your findings effectively in a clear, concise, and scientific style. This active learning approach to learning should help you to experience the challenges faced by consultant psychologists in a range of applied areas of psychology. Overall, skills are advanced in literature searching and reviewing, objective and subjective evaluation of theory and research, intervention development, harmonious group work, the honing of oral and written communication skills as well as a host of other competencies (i.e. organisational skills, timekeeping, critical thinking, problem solving, creativity, reliability, independence etc.). The written report (1,500 word guide; 50% of final module mark) includes a written summary of any1 out of the 4final solutions. The aim is to draw from the collective research of the group to outline and evaluate a solution to the development of the identified areas of applied psychology based on relevant theory, research, and other literary evidence. However, if you wish to deviate from your group’s solution and base your solution on your own research or ideas from other group slides this is also acceptable. You should structure your solution to the problem appropriately using introductory, main body (i.e., start with theory, then research, evaluation, and intervention ideas) and concluding sections. The marking criteria, including all the information that is required in the solution, is included below and at the end of this guide.
