INTRODUCTION
Business management is the study of coordinating, organising the business activities by
which their employees can reach to their top level of productivity. As COVID-19 has impacted
the entire lives of the people as it stuck the people in side their homes and some causes to deaths
also. Tourism industry is the total business which directly offers the goods and services in order
to facilitate business, leisure activities and pleasure away from the home. There are five sector of
tourism- accommodation, food and beverage, recreation and entertainment & travel services.
This respective essay analyse the impact of COVID-19 on tourism in United Kingdom.

The COVID-19 pandemic is the coronavirus disease in 2019 and the virus is reached the
UK in late January 2020, the virus becoming spreading in the country and arriving basically from
travel elsewhere in Europe. In December 2021, there had been 13.8 million confirmed cases
which is fourth-highest across the world. Coronavirus disease is affecting the lies around the
world. Economic shutdown, isolation and contact restrictions is being imposed a major change to
the lives of the people around the UK. In current time, children, adolescents and their families is
being effected in an extreme way. The schools have been closed, social contacts of the people is
limited and out-of-home schooling and other recreational activities cancelled. Parents are
supporting their children with the study, wile they are at their home doing work from home. The
economic situation have fallen away with high and rising level of unemployment. This put lot of
pressure of the families and he children to cope up with their distress, mental heath problems and
violence. As the pandemic is evolving through various phases and current the world is battling to
the end phase-3 and they are having the major consideration which are continuing in the country
with the major issues. Due to the covid-19, people are not allowed to go out of their home and
they need to maintain proper distance to each other as this disease is the contaminated on which
is rising so far. Tourism industry is the largest revenue generating industry in the United
Kingdom and they are contributing almost 10% of the GDB and also supporting approx. 3.8
million jobs and these are completely 11% of the UK population. But with the outbreak of global
pandemic, tourism dependent nations facing negative impact of the crises and the contact-
intensive services are the key to the tourism and the travel industry is majorly affected by the
pandemic and this continue to struggle until people will feel safe to travel.
