Task 1
Introduction
The pandemic situation of Covid-19 has impacted day-to-day life in every aspect. One of
the significant impacts of Covid-19 is that it is gradually slowing down the global
economy. The United Kingdom has faced the negative impact of Covid-19 on their
economy, communication and most profoundly, the mental health of the people is also
getting worst due to Covid-19 (Loomba et al., 2021). Thousands of people in the country
either suffer from sickness or are killed as the cause of spreading the disease. The viral
disease killed millions of people when the vaccines were not available. During the
lockdown, the people had to face restrictions in public or social gatherings. The offices,
schools and industries also stood still in that situation. The international transport system
was also closed, which negatively impacted each of the people. The daily life of the
people of the UK was hampered greatly, and the rate of Unemployment, social disaster,
and illness occurred unsoundly (Jarvis et al., 2020). So, Covid-19 has impacted the lives
of the people of the UK extensively and has also had far-reaching consequences.

Figure 1 displays the death rate of the people of the UK due to coronavirus. From 2020 to
2022, the people who died from coronavirus are recorded in this figure. Figure 1 shows
that the death rate was high in the middle of 2020 and reached 2021. During this period,
the death rate was getting higher because of unconsciousness and new variants of
coronavirus. The government of the UK imposed a lockdown to control the spread of this
disease and made mandatory the use of a mask to go out (Savage et al., 2020). But the
people of the UK have not followed the rules, and many people refused and protested not
wearing a mask. So, for this reason, the death rate was high during that period. At the
beginning of 2021, the new variants of coronavirus were introduced, and the doctors had
no idea about the cure against these viruses. So, it also increases people's death rate in the
UK. The hospitals and health care centres were fully occupied, and the lack of supply of
oxygen and vaccine was also a vital reason for the increase in the people's death rate (Hu,
2020). Form figure 1, it is also showed that the death rate was decreasing in 2022. The
death rate decreased during that period because of the invention of the vaccine. So, the
pandemic situation of Covid-19 has impacted the people of the UK negatively, and their
daily lifestyle was impacted much. Their perceptions of living also changed a lot due to
the disease.

Figure 2 displays the ratios of registered coronavirus cases, the death ratios against it, and
the recovered ratio. This figure shows the number of registered cases until 23 rd March
2022. In this period, the total registered case number was 20413731. 164123 people died
from these cases, and 20233530 people were recovered. So, from the data, it can be
evaluated that more people recovered from the virus than died if compared to the
registered case and recovered patient, the death ratio is less than 1%.
But on the other hand, if the death number is compared to the coronavirus cases, it will be
1%. So, from the given data situation, it can be ensured that the spreading of this virus is
very much quick, but the impact of the virus on the body is slow. So, if people take
proper precautions and lead a healthy life by maintaining proper hygiene, they can get rid
of the spreading of this virus (Craweley et al., 2020). The immediate effect of this virus
on the body is much more painful, and if anyone can survive with that, the antibody of
this virus will be generated automatically.

The people of the UK and the global people were in much panic situation of the
pandemic situation of coronavirus. To travel from one country to another, the people must
do the corona test; even if only the result is negative, the people are allowed to travel. So,
during the period of this pandemic situation, the healthcare industries are going on in so
much busyness (Brown et al., 2021). At the beginning of the spreading of coronavirus,
people could not find any sit in the hospitals to get admitted, and they had to take
treatment from home. So, Covid-19 also negatively impacts the healthcare industries of
the UK in terms of pressure.
The Covid-19 Impact on the Economy of the UK
Covid-19 impacted the global as well as the UK economic condition negatively. Due to
control the spread of coronavirus, the government of the UK imposed a lockdown all
over the country. For this reason, international travelling was stopped for a long period,
and no international transactions or export and import also occurred during this period.
The office, industries, schools, and colleges were closed in this situation (Chen et al.,
2020). During the lockdown, the online-based business and online platforms had earned
many revenues, and other sectors stood still. So, the country's economy was down badly,
and the earnings per head also decreased to a great level.

Figure 3 shows the UK's unemployment rate during the pandemic of Covid-19. The
unemployment rate during the pandemic period had increased enormously. During the
lockdown, the country's economic condition decreased noticeably, and many industries
were shut down because of the inability to pay their dues. In this situation, the companies
are concentrating on cutting expenses by firing unskilled or inexperienced employees
(Dicken et al., 2021). The companies also provide half the salary to the employees, and
many employees leave their jobs place. These situations then create the unemployment
situation in the UK. This unemployment situation created a great problem in the country's
economy and decreased the earnings per head. But most importantly, the unemployment
situation hampered the mental health of the youth generation, and the far consequences of
this situation are negative.
The Covid-19 Impact on Social Life
Social life is a part of an individual's life that is spent by one doing enjoyable things. The
bonds with friends, family, community members and strangers are the elements of social
life. The pandemic situation of covid-19 impacted the social life of the people of the UK
negatively. Due to control the spread of the coronavirus, the UK government imposed a
lockdown all over the country, which negatively impacted social life. The people were
then restricted from going out, joining any public or social gatherings, and attending
offices and schools. Only if any emergency arrives or in completing medical needs they
are allowed to go out. At that time, people only relied on online platforms (Knolle et al.,
2021). Social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, and Skype were the only
platforms to main people's social life. Even the wedding ceremony was arranged through
online platforms. So, physical meeting with people was impossible for the people of the
UK. So, these situations hampered the social practice of the people negatively.

Figure 4 shows the process of networking or maintaining social life during the time of
Covid-19. The lockdown of the UK makes the people fully dependent on Mobile, tap,
computers, and so. A group of people also used these platforms and the internet to
showcase their talents and entertain others (Loomba et al., 2021). Through Stand-up
comedy, daily bloggers, arts, songs and so on, other ways the people entertained the
people. So, the consequences of Covid-19 have impacted the people negatively in terms
of maintaining their social life.
Conclusion
The overall report is conducted to evaluate the impacts of Covid-19 on the daily life of
the people of the UK. The researcher used several data in this report, and the data
indicated a particular analysis of the people of the UK. The impact of Covid-19 on the
general people of the UK is evaluated by analysing the country's deaths. The impact of
Covid-19 on the healthcare industries is evaluated in this research through the ratios of
death of coronavirus. The impact of the economy is also evaluated in this report, and it is

evaluated through unemployment data. The impact on social life due to Covid-19 is also
evaluated in this report briefly. So, the report analysed the important aspects of the life of
the people of the UK, and one can gain proper knowledge about the situation of people in
the period of Covid-19.
