INTRODUCTION
The new SARS-CoV-2 pandemic is an unprecedented in the recent history, having a
global impact containing elevated rates of both morbidity and mortality and lead to low
economic conditions of several people. The pandemic can impact mental health in both short and
long terms over billion of people. Across Australia, the first case of coronavirus was reported on
25th January, 2020 within the state of Victoria. In addition to this, due to pandemic, the
Australian government has closed all its border to non-Australian residents and implemented the
guidelines for public to maintain social distancing among public as well.
Gender is generally an essential consideration in the development. It is usually a manner of
looking at how the social norms as well as the power structures can influence the lives of people
and various opportunities available to unique groups of male and female. By conducting the
review on the topic, it is analysed that COVID-19 has caused significant disruption to both
society and the economy. The World Health Organization generally declared the pandemic, an
international public well-being emergency in January 2020, and a subsequent pandemic at the
end of March. In this, the first reported case in Australia was specifically on 25th January in the
state of Victoria, and less than a month later, on the end of March 2020, the government of
Australia generally sealed their borders towards all the non-Australian residents and can put in
place a series of the social distancing measures on March 2021. In this, an outbreak of the
pandemic generally places a significant effect on the people, such as it can lead to loss of many
of the lives of people, loss of their employment, and many more. Many of the people are fired
from their job places. A coronavirus outbreak can significantly impact people’s mental well-
being by creating anxiety and depression among them. The episode of COVID-19 on young
people generally positively and negatively impacts their health and life. It is analysed that both
men and women as an economic impact of the COVID-19 typically cause significant gendered
implications. In this, the young females are specifically more prone to the developing risk of
having coronavirus than young males. So, young females aged 20 to 29 can have more excellent
coronavirus rates across the country (COVID-19 and the impact on young people, 2021).
