death due to this. This disease has impact the various sectors of the economy and decreases the
profitability of the sectors. The tourism sector of the UK has also affected by this pandemic and
lowers the profitability of the tourism industry. The report will evaluate about the impact of the
COVID -19 on the tourism industry of United Kingdom and recommendations to the tourism
industry of UK.

more than 82 million people and also killed over 1.8 million people across the globe. This
pandemic has increased the death rates due to lack of health services and proper facilities in the
hospitals. Tourism industry refers to the overall businesses that used to have the direct and
indirect impact in order to provide the goods and services to run business and making the people
travel in the different markets (Foo and et.al., 2021). Thee are basically the five types of tourism
industry which are transportation, accommodation, foods and beverages, travel services and
entertainment services. By the happening of the COVID- 19 it has affected the tourism industry
of the UK. This pandemic has shown the people the importance of new science ad technology as
the world is very back in order to sustain in the market. The tourism industry of the United
Kingdom has contributed 6.7 % of the gross values in the year 2018. After this the pandemic has
started in the year 2019 and had adverse impact on the tourism sector in 2020 and 2021. The
government has various restrictions at that time on the travel and tourism industry. There was so
much of restriction on the people in order to travel from one city to another and from one state or
nation to another. This has cause adverse impact and decreases the profitability of the tourism
industry in UK (Škare, Soriano and Porada-Rochoń, 2021). As these restrictions were slowly
relaxed the government has done the quarantine travelling for the people and they were
quarantine foe the several days after travelling. According to the research it is estimated that in
the second quarter of the 2020 the overseas people almost 96% has no visit outside and 97% in
the year 2019. There was a great decrease in the number of passenger as people were not
travelling due to happening of pandemic. The data of the civil aviation has showed that the rates
