According to the Rawlinson’s Australian Construction Handbook (2017)
The productivity constant for groundworks = 2.2 labour hrs. /m3
The productivity for carpeting = 0.80 labour hrs. /m2
c. Tradesman hours worked
Groundworks
Tradesman hours worked = productivity constant x quantity
Tradesman hours worked for groundworks = 1.2 labour hrs. /m3 x 3049.92 m3
= 3659.9 tradesman hrs.
Carpet to Level 2
Tradesman hours worked for carpeting to level 2 = 0.80 labour hrs. /m2 x 92.39m2
= 73.91 tradesman hrs.
d. Suitable Gang Sizes

Gang size = quantity/ (scheduled working period x product constant x working hrs. per day)

Assuming 8 hrs. working period per day
