Introduction
This assessment has been designed to allow you to provide partial evidence of
your competence in the unit CPCCBC5018A Apply structural principles to the

 The National Construction Code (NCC), Volumes One and Two
 A current set of Architecture and Engineering Drawings for the “High
School Plan Set”
 Australian Standards: Part AS 4773.2 for assessment.
Scenario
Consider the High school plans for the ‘new educational buildings’ which will be
constructed in a high-wind, bushfire-prone area. Imagine that you are the
licensed builder at Sullivon Constructions responsible for planning the building of
this case.
