CREATE YOUR OWN HASHTAG CAMPAIGN 2 Two Alarming Environmental Issues The importance of healthy environment cannot be underestimated. Unfortunately, human beings being the anthropocentric part of the environment have been the major cause for alarms connected to the environment (Mohammad, 2019). It admittedly bad that the same human beings are dying because of the unhealthy environment they create for themselves. Therefore, it is our responsibility as humans to take appropriate actions towards making our environment sustainable and better. Poor waste disposal and water pollution and scarcity are two issues that should be throttled to dead. This is because they are not only making our environment unsafe for human life but also bring about the sense of environmental injustice. Their existence is devastating to the whole world. The complaints about smelling garbage are not only the alarms caused by poor waste disposal, health is the issue. Waste is a threat to the earth habitants that endangers humans in all ways from food, water and air; to mention a few. Human life expectance reduces silently just because of improper disposal of waste. Water is part of the human body. Unsafe water means unhealthy body tissues which can lead to the very many heathy complications we experience today. Moreover, water scarcity is among the major issues that hit news headlines nowadays (Mallick & Bajpai, 2019). Water scarcity in anthropocentric view means, water can be available in plenty but still be scarce for human consumption. Lack of drinkable water is the alarm and headache that we need to cure. Many deaths, diseases and alleged environmental racism take place just because of poor actions or insufficient energy focus upon the fight against these hazardous environmental issues. Fighting these issues and reducing their occurrence to zero is a praiseworthy activity that should be held upon through environmental awareness campaigns, programs and seminars.
CREATE YOUR OWN HASHTAG CAMPAIGN 3 The ‘#LETS RECYCLE RIGHT’ Among the praiseworthy social media campaigns is the ‘#Lets Recycle Right’ environmental conservation campaign. The influence that the celebrities made through this campaign is tremendous and remains tickling and ringing in more that ninety percent of the Americans and more than sixty percent of the world’s social media funs. It is admittedly true that the celebrity campaign was of great importance to the whole world; not only to Americans and one of its vitality was the way it earned millions of across America, from buying bins to opening of recycling plants (Kormos & Gifford, 2014). Moreover, the influence of this campaign is solid important and influential because let to not only reduction of garbage in the years 2016-2017 but also improvement of the environmental cleanliness, reduction of waste going to the oceans s well as improvement of the United States economy. The campaign was backed up even by TV stations and magazines such as the New York Times and was even on billboards. My Environmental conservation Hashtags Campaign The importance of healthy environment needs to be backed up and brightly illuminated for the whole world to implement or take appropriate actions rather. I want to strongly beef up the strength of the environmentalists by creating a campaign that will target the youths. If we want the world to be a better place even in future, we need to enlighten, make the youth aware that their health, wellbeing and life is dependent on a healthy environment. I will use most of the social media platforms that are youth oriented to put across this information. An easy way to get the youth attention on social media is through the use of hashtags. Among the hashtags that I will use are:
CREATE YOUR OWN HASHTAG CAMPAIGN 4 #Youthenvironmentaction #Savewatersavelife #Youthpolutionaction #Cleanenvironforfuture Among them, the ‘#youthenvironmentaction’ tag is the most suitable for a campaign since it will cover much of the environmental sectors and will easy earn support even from the very many youth developmental programs or organizations. The main purposes of the ‘#youthenvironmentaction’ campaign is to shed light on proper waste disposal, environmental justice especially to the minority, public health, sensitize on importance of recycling waste, encouraging businesses, communities, universities, and cities to display standardized labels on recycle bins. Moreover, the campaign will illuminate the importance of saving the available clean water and stop leaving taps running when brushing teeth or soaping up in showers. On waste disposal, the campaign will create awareness on ways to reduce the amount of waste through recycling. In the campaign, we will hit hard on the importance of the use of products that can be recycled and piled up in composites (Jindal, 2019). On average, every person generates 4.6 pounds of trash daily, which is a devastating amount. This might get out of control the appropriate measures are not takes. The campaign will sensitize on recyclable products as a way of controlling the waste. Moreover, an approximation of 780 million people in the world has no access to clean water. This is not only in the undeveloped countries but also in the whole world. Creating awareness on ways of saving water will be of great help.
