Creative Thinking and Problem Solving for Managers

INTRODUCTION
 Creative problem-solving is the kind of way through which the managers
can identify the opportunities in solving the problems when the
conventional thinking has been failed. It encourages the organization as
well as it manages to find appropriate perspective and come with the
more innovative ideas so that they can formulate the strategies in an
appropriate manner in order to overcome the obstacle and reach the goals.
 It is very important for the leaders to have creative problem skills and
have a capability to stimulate the challenges and motivate the others to
prominent problems and devise creative solution in order to achieve their
goals and targets.

The concept of a “wicked” problem
 A wicked problem is a social or cultural issue that is highly
insoluble due to its complexity and interconnection. Wicked
problems are characterized by a lack of visibility in their goals
and solutions, as well as real-world limitations that prevent
risk-free tries to fix them (Al-Samarraie, and Saeed, 2018)
 Wicked problems have a large number of interrelated aspects
that make them appear impossible to solve. Solving wicked
challenges necessitates a thorough understanding of the major
stakeholders, as well as an inventive methodology emphasizes
by design thinking, since the factors are frequently incomplete,
in flux, and difficult to describe.

There are different characteristics of wicked problem which are
mentioned below:
 They haven't come up with a firm formula yet.
 There is no "stopping rule" in place. To put it another way, these issues
lack a built-in logic that indicates when they have been solved.
 Their solutions are good or poor, not truthful or false.
 There is no method to test a wicked problem's answer.

Usefulness of the concept of a
“wicked” problem to a manager.
 In formulating planning in policy is a big problem is a kind of problem that is very difficult for
the managers to solve the problem because of the modification in the requirements and because
of the incomplete requirement which are very difficult for the managers to recognize.
 . In the management procedure for the manager sometimes big problems are important because
a problem will modify the characteristics when eliminating them and it also helps the manager
to reduce the casual effect. For the manager big problem plays an important role because the
problem has a set of potential consequences and they made them more capable to analyze the
problems and face the challenges in an appropriate manner (Mintrop, 2020)

 Employees and trade unions, owners, investors, and lenders,
vendors and joint venture partners, the authorities of the United
States and other countries where Wal-Mart works, and consumers
are all waiting with bated breath as the retailer strives to grow
faster. That's not all; numerous nonprofit organizations are keeping
a careful eye on it, particularly in nations where the merchant buys
merchandise (Raisch and Krakowski, 2021)
 Stakeholders in Wal-Mart have varying interests, and not all of
them share the corporate goal. Each group has varied degrees of
ability to affect the company's decisions and outcomes. That wasn't
the case when Sam Walton opened his first shop in Rogers,
Arkansas, in 1962.

Critical analysis of the problem,
justifying its identification as a
“wicked” problem
 The Walmart organization is facing problem regarding the
stakeholders. In context of Stakeholders the stakeholders of the organization
have a ring interest but not all of the Stakeholder sharing the same corporate
goals. Each group and each stakeholder has very degree of capability in order to
affect the organization decision and outcomes (Schaltegger, Burritt and
Petersen, 2017)
 This is the major big problem which is facing by the Walmart organization. The
entire goal of the Walmart organization is to design thinking course that will
help the organization to design better products and services and president
strategies in order to achieve their goals in objective

Conclusion
 From the above mentioned report it has been concluded that creative thinking and
problem-solving for managers are very important for them to identify the
problems and opportunity in order to solving the problems when the conventional
thinking has been failed.
 Apart from this it is very important for the company as well as for the manager to
analyze the big problem because it is very important for them to analyze the big
problem so that we can become more challenging in order to overcome the
problems and become effective in their career in order to bring more
opportunities.
