ABSTRACT
This report has consisted of information pertaining to Crime and punishment influenced
the society in the Victorian times. Victoria is place that has wide range of crime such as theft,
murder etc that have negatively influence on the society. Government in order to reduce the
crime rate has make use of different punishment with an motivate to generate fear among people
to stop doing crime otherwise harsh punishment will be given to them such as hanging,
transportation and labouring etc. Secondary method has been used to gather necessary
information related to the topic. So, overall result has obtained that crime has lead in poverty but
punishment has lead in copying up with the situation and reducing offense to some extent.
Therefore it has concluded that crime and punishment have influence on society of Victoria.
