Description of the program
The program related to criminal justice is entrusted with the activities of providing
services related to rehabilitation for people who indulge into crimes such as murder, culpable
homicide, substance abuse and various other kinds of violent activities such as assault and
battery. The primary objective of the program is to ensure the welfare of such people thereby
leading to the maintenance of peace and harmony in the community in an effective and
efficient manner. It also involves the analysing of the needs and demands of such people in
the desired manner thereby undertaking the correctional measure in terms of rehabilitation in
an effective and efficient manner (Kishi et al., 2018). As a result, it is aimed at fostering
harmonious and amicable relationships in the community in the desired manner as far as the
reformative theory of punishment is concerned with reference to criminal justice.
Program vision and target population
The main vision of the program is to address the issues of the offenders who are
involved in substance abuse to a massive extent. It implies the treating of such kinds of
offenders in a proper and appropriate manner thereby applying the correctional measures as
deemed to fit and necessary taking account of the background of the offender along with the
facts and circumstances in question. As the program related to criminal justice is based in the
American state of Alabama, the target population is the local community based in Alabama
thereby providing an example for other kinds of programs pertaining to criminal justice to
serve their local communities in an effective and efficient manner thereby resulting in the
desired outcomes and leading to the welfare of the people involved in substance abuse and
other related criminal offences (Lonsdale, 2016). As a result, the vision of the program
implies the playing of an essential role with regard to the welfare people who are indulged in
drug related offences thereby taking the necessary steps measures and precautions in a proper
and appropriate manner. The tackling of the issues related to crimes is one of the main
purposes of the program as far as the respective local community of Alabama is concerned.
The approach of the criminal justice programs serves as an incredible alternative to the
punishments such as imprisonment and detention for a certain period of time. As a result, it is
focused in the rehabilitation of people who regularly indulge into drug abuse.

Services of the program
The main services offered by the program related to criminal justice imply the care
and welfare of the people who are involved in various kinds of criminal activities, most
notably drug abuse. The services also include the addressing the issues pertaining to the
mental health of such kinds of criminals. The training is provided in a proper and appropriate
manner to the people involved in such services as far as the aspects pertaining to the gravity
of the crime is concerned (O'Hear & Wheelock, 2016). Such training would involve the
aspects pertaining to the analysis of the case and the progress made in the case as far as the
investigations by the police are concerned along with the contributions of people such as
doctors and health care professionals when the offender is indulged in crimes pertaining to
the usage of drugs and related substances. Services related to counselling are to be provided
to the people who are indulged into the usage of substance such as drugs. It would also imply
the efforts to be made with regard to the de-addiction of alcohol, drugs and related
intoxicating substances which mainly lead to the impairment of both physical and mental
health. Services in a separate manner are also to be provided to the ones involved in offenses
such as murder, culpable homicide, violent acts and sexual assaults thereby leading to the
correctional measures in a proper and appropriate manner which would ultimately ensure that
the acts as aforesaid would not be repeated on part of the offender (Harris & Laws, 2018).
The services also involve liaison with police and other organisations which are law
enforcement authorities. Community services such as voluntary work are also undertaken by

skills accordingly. As a result, courses are offered by the criminal justice program as far as

accordingly who are undergoing treatment with regard to such kinds of services. The
secondary data would involve online sources in the form of ebooks and journal articles online
along with news articles available online. It may also include blogs pertaining to the reviews
of such criminal justice programs thereby implying their positive effects. Books and
periodicals related to criminal justice programs would also be inclusive of secondary sources.
The data would be compiled accordingly after being collected as desired. It would
lead to the analysis of the data in a proper and appropriate manner accordingly. The analysis
of the data would involve the review of the relevant literature in a proper and appropriate
manner as far as the getting an overview of the concept pertaining to the criminal justice
program is concerned. The theories pertaining to the program would also be analysed along
with the reports pertaining to the program which would imply the feasibility of the program
in the desired manner. In order to save time and costs, the qualitative data would be analysed
with regard to the effectiveness and efficiency of the criminal justice program. It would imply
the reports of the program in a proper and appropriate manner accordingly. As a result, it
would help in the conclusion of the decisions to be made in the desired manner thereby
resulting in the positive outcomes as far as the criminal justice program is concerned. The
data pertaining to the effectiveness of the program in the long run would also be analysed

ethics are to be taken into account and be followed by the people involved in the criminal
justice program with regard to the rehabilitation of the offenders. As a result, the moral

desired manner (Graham, 2016). The aspect pertaining to fairness must also be taken into
account with regard to the providing of the services relating to the rehabilitation of the

criminal justice program are concerned. The staff and stakeholders involved in the criminal
justice programmed must be well-informed about various kinds of cases involved with regard
to the offenders in question along with the reports pertaining to the progress of such cases as
far as the conclusiveness is concerned in order to address the issues in a proper and
appropriate manner (Weisburd, 2018). The stakeholders of the criminal justice program must
also be informed about the critical aspects in a timely manner so that improvements can be
made accordingly.
