As defined by the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the process of criminal profiling has been
defined as the technique which is used to identify the criminals of of violent crimes. The process

of investigation mainly comprise of the identification of offenders behavioural as well as
personality traits in accordance of the analysis of the committed crime. The following research
paper is going to address the role of criminal profiling in the process of investigation in the
criminal case.

To identify the concept of CP
to determine the role of CP in the investigation of police in criminal case'
to examine the impacts of CP in delivering the justice to the parties.

1. what is the meaning of criminal profiling?
According to Brent E. Turvey, criminal profiling is a tool or measure which stands
available at the option of investigators for the purpose of narrowing the possible suspects for the
concerned crime. It also helps in linking the crimes while providing the most suited leads and
new investigative strategies and keeping the overall process of investigation on track.

The tool of criminal profiling mainly with respect to the process of investigation plays two major
roles. The very first being the narrowing of the search of investigators by the way of outlining
the characteristics of profile. The other importance is that it helps the investigators in planning
the interview of the suspects according to their profiles.
3. what is the impact of Criminal profiling in delivering the justice to the parties?
Criminal profiling can be defined as a tool that any of the investigating authority can use to solve
a heinous crime. Basically it assists in the effective delivery of justice by drawing all the
possibilities and circumstances under which a particular crime has committed. It further examine
the criminal acts and does proper evaluation of the victim.

Interpretivism- the said method comprises a researcher for the purpose of interpretation
of the elements. In this the emphasis is made on the qualitative analysis rather than the
quantitative. For this proposal the qualitative analysis is adopted in order to achieve the
aims and objectives.
Positivism- It is dependant on the interest of the researcher where it adheres to the views
that factual knowledge is gained by the observation which is trustworthy.
Research approach
It is a design which comprises of the stages of the wide presumptions for detailing the
methods of the data accumulation, analysation and the representation. The two kinds of
