INTRODUCTION
Musical event is also known as music festival which is considered as a community event
that consider live performance related to singing and instruments playing which may often based
on a particular theme such as classical music, jazz, blues, folk and many other musical event
(Hawkins, 2017). This essay is based on personal experience of a musical event i.e. Subsonic
Music Festival which is organized in 2018 at Australia. Subsonic Music Festival is a famous
annual electronic music festival which organized since 2008 December. This festival is
introduced by Scott Commens and Marco Mazzucco who are Sydney-based DJs. At respective
musical event numbers of bands perform and showcase talent in order to entertain audiences.
MAIN BODY
Musical event or festival is concern as a live musical performance which is conducted in
front of huge audiences. At event performance can be performed by single musician or a band.
Musical event is of various types such as classical, blues, jazz, fusion, folk, western, instrumental
and many others (Mantie, 2013). Musical event is considered as one of the unique tool that aids
human experiences, mood as well as it will also lead to social gathering where social interaction
can be enhanced. Every year there are numbers of musical festival take place around the world
such as Subsonic Music Festival, Acapella Fest, Ame Entertain, Sun burn, Big Foot, Black Box
music festival, Drum & Bass Beats, Electric Wednesday, Forestland Festival and many other
festivals or events. Same like this, I went to a musical event i.e. Subsonic Music Festival which
organized at Monkerai, Australia from 30th November 2018 to 2nd December 2018 and its venue
is Riverwood Downs. At respective year there are approx 150 national as well as international
artists performed for 3 days such as RIBONGIA, STIPE, HYPONTECH, KODIAK KID,
DANNIKA BOSS, MADMOTORMIQUEL, JPS, KID FICTION, ANY MELLO, LUEN
JACOBS and many more (Meyers, 2015). Performance of all 150 bands are scheduled on 5
stages and accordingly event is conducted.
At respective year there are numbers of musical event take placed in Australia but I
selected Subsonic Music Festival because at that year they are competing their 10 years so that
event will be take placed at huge level (Moberg, 2012). At this huge occasion there are various
innovative as well as creative musical and non musical activities I enjoyed like electronic music,
mind bending performance arts, roots and soulful music. Along with this at event I also enjoyed

provoking workshops at the Riverwood Downs at New South Wales. At respective place I get to
know that for organizing Subsonic Music Festival successfully there is a club named SubClub at
which I can also join. Their is specific aim of respect club i.e. they celebrate sexual freedom as
well as sexual identity at their event as well as they want to spread love by working together as a
community in order to minimise discrimination. While enjoying Subsonic Music Festival I
understand that there is no dressing theme but peoples like to be dressed up comfortably like
rainbow so that they can enjoy dance floor properly. During interacting with SubClub members I
get to know that at Sub18 (Subsonic Music Festival 2018) they are bringing some extraordinary
event from their standards as well as they also believed in keeping things fresh and loopy as it is
(Subsonic Music Festival 2018 Launch Party: Sydney, 2019). For this they planned three day
non stop multi genre music as well as performance and according to them there are approx more
than 5000 peoples enjoying that event.
About Subsonic Music Festival I get to know from my friend who went their in 2017. He
told me that respective musical event is one of the well know program organized at Australia
with numbers of national as well as international band. So in 2018 I planned to go at Subsonic
Music Festival because I am going through some issues at my workplace and I listened that
music is great medicine for healing the mood as well as it also minimise stress. At respective
place there are several factors which influence me such as location, bands or musicians,
activities, tradition of feast and many other factors (Peddie, 2017). At Subsonic Music Festival
there are more then 150 bands are line up that is one of the strongest line ups such as Alexkid,
Peter Van Hoesen, Raresh, Andhim, Loods, Luen, Mad Professor, Any Mello, Azimute,
Eluize, Batu, Cesare vs Disorder and so on (The best camping festival in the state celebrates ten
fantastic years with one of its strongest lineups yet, 2020). These all bands are popular as well as
having best singers which influence me and my mood. At there I also meet numbers of people
who are from different culture, location and languages from those I learn several new things
which will help me in my future such as from one person I learn how to be patient in long
queues. This is so because at the time of entry as well as checking there is huge line and
everyone is being panic but that person be clam and stand in line for many hours without any
complain. In addition to this, while I am roaming from at the location I meet various people from
whom I learn new things like culture, language as well as be also discus about believes.

While attaining The Subsonic Music Festival I realise there are several things happen to
me which sound good such as I enjoy music event and dance freely without any hesitation that is
very big things to me because I am little bit introvert due to which I not feel comfortable with
others. Moreover I also able to reduce stress of workplace because scientifically music help in
healing or boost the mood of a person as well as it minimise stress (Roberts and Cohen, 2014).
Along with this, music also help in generating feeling of togetherness due to which I able to
make more new friends from different location as well as culture. I also able to enhance my
general sense of well being which will also help in understanding seniors, co workers and friends
in effective manner as well as I think that it will also improve my day to day life after ending of
concert. At Subsonic Music Festival there are 150 bands from whom various artists perform in
English and some perform in their regional language through that I able to discover new music
(Roberts, 2014). That is hard for me understand because I don't know the language but I love
their music as that is very unaesthetic as well as energetic. In addition to all this I am very that I
get chance to meet my favourite artist and bands such as Andhim (artist name Simon Haehnel
and Tobias Mueller, they are from Germany and started their band in 2010).
I also get chance to meet KMLN band who is born at Italy and based on Germany and its
producer was Shawna Hofmann, at event I also meet one of my favourites Traumer whose
original name is Romain Reynaud and its country is France as well as I also meet Brock Ferrar
who is from Australia and one of the leading artist. In addition to this at respective musical feast
I also meet Dave Fernandes who is aliases with HAHA industries, D&D and House of Mince as
well as they country is Australia (Schüßler, Dobusch and Wessel, 2014). Moreover I also meet
some of the fastest leading artists or bands of Australia such as Phil Smart whose real name is
Phillip Smart, Nick reverse who is co founder and producer of WeLove as well as I also meet
Muska whose real name is Michael Muska. At there I also meet Marcotix band whose real name
is Marco Mazzucco as well as I also get chance to meet Mantra Collective who is aliases with

to with Subsonic Music Festival such as I meet with my favourite artists, I make new friends as

CONCLUSION
By analysing above discussed points it can be conclude that a musical event is of
numbers of types such as classical, fusion, jazz, folk and many others as well as musical events
are organized at different level. Such as there are some events that are organized at huge level in
which national as well as international bands take participation. On the other hand there are some
festivals that are conducted at small level in which generally domestic as well as national bands
or singers take participation. But experience gained by a person is main aspect which is
considered because if a person enjoy particular event then definitely he/she want to attained it
next time.
