This article provides a critical appraisal of a randomised control trial on type 2 diabetes and weight management. The study focuses on the remission of type 2 diabetes in the population aged 20-65 years through weight management intervention. The article critiques the validity of the trial using the CASP checklist and discusses the outcomes of the intervention. The results of the study show that there are more benefits than harms and costs, and remission of type 2 diabetes can be called a practical target for primary care.
