the firth of forth, there is a wide variety of Habitats and herbal places. Some of these
locations Are domestic to uncommon and guarded flowers and animals. The firth of Forth is
of global and national importance for some species of birds. Upload to this current work to
create pollinator meadow regions within Edinburgh’s parks, and we've a image of a capital
town that's Great for flora and fauna and those. Late years have seen a blast in the
accessibility of biodiversity information portraying the dispersion, work, and developmental
history of life on earth. Coordinating these heterogeneous information stays a test because of
huge varieties in observational scales, assortment purposes, and wordings. I conceptualize
broadly utilized biodiversity information of six different Edinburg sites. In this paper, I
Compare these Six Sites obsservations/values using Shannon and Simpson diversity index.
Furhermore I have also critically evaluated the analyses and feature the collaborations

which I have done on the basis of data and also further give my final recoomendations and
conclusion. I spread out successful procedures for information assortment, preparation,

space and goal assists with distinguishing inclinations and holes in worldwide informational

METHODOLOGY
Biodiversity, as perceived by the broadest definition is life, and if a solitary substitute

initially from City of Edinburgh Council, CEC surveyed species. Biodiversity indices have
been calculated for the presented City of Edinburgh Council (CEC) six sites and then further
compared as well. Each of the indices used is described in the following text.
As in the end CEC has decided to destroy the 3 sites so I work with 2 method and for the
species rechness for more accuracy

Method-I (Shannon’s Diversity Index)
This the formula of Shannon index, Shannon index is mainly used for the richness and
eveness of the species, thus we can calculate the richness of species at the site using Shannon
index.
In the bove mentioned formula, pi = proportion of individuals of species i in the total number
of individuals presented in the area. The Shannon index usually takes values in between 1.5
and 3.5(Magurran, 2004). If an area has a value of Shannon index equal or higher than 4, it is
considered as extraordinary from the biodiversity perspective.

In the above table the Values written Green is the higest so this site can’t be destroyed
similiarly, the site in Blue nad site in green. Interpretation of the results shows that City of

Edinburgh Council (CEC) site Site No 2, is the most valuable one from the biodiversity
perspective, taking into account richness and evenness of the species. This Site No. 2 stand
has the highest values of Shannon, Simpson, in comparison to the rest of the City of
Edinburgh Council (CEC) sites thus stands included in the research.
CONCLUSION
In the Given City of Edinburgh Council (CEC) sites data we can easily analyze thus
Measuring biodiversity is an important task in assessing and Evaluation. There are indices for
quantifying biodiversity based on its two main features: richness and evenness.This paper
offers an overview of the most commonly applied biodiversity indices: Shannon and
Simpson; describes how they are calculated on a case study example and discusses the results
obtained. High values of Shannon, Simpson refer to high biodiversity. Apart from analyzing
thebiodiversity indices for each City of Edinburgh Council (CEC) Sample individually, it is
also useful to make a comparison between them, which sites to be choosen to destroyed.
Thus I can conclude from the research that Most valuable site is Saite No. 02 followed by site
no 3 and site No. 05. Thus other sites namely, Saite No. 1, 4 and 6 can be choosen to
destroyed as comparison to the above valuable sites.
