2CRITICAL THINKING
I have studied the 17 sustainable goals of the UNESCO. I have selected no poverty goal. I
have chosen this goal as I feel that there are many people who are leading their lives under
conditions of extreme poverty. Though the poverty rates have been reduced by more than half
since the year 2000, there are still many regions in the world where people are leading their lives
under immense poverty. I have been touched by this sustainable goal because I am moved by
seeing many people suffering from a lack of food. They do not even have the rights to get
admitted to any school. This is also because of the fact that these people are not literate enough

malnutrition still existing in many different parts of the world. I have been really surprised to see
that As of 2016, only 45% of the world's population was effectively covered by at least one
social protection cash benefit. This is because of the fact that a large number of people stay
outside the realm of protection. This is evident in the fact that the implementation of cash
