It emphasizes the importance of critical thinking in decision-making and outlines several techniques to enhance these skills. The report suggests asking insightful questions to clarify problems, being aware of one's mental processes to understand individual thought patterns, conducting thorough research to gather comprehensive knowledge, employing reverse thinking to gain new perspectives, and adjusting one's viewpoint to consider diverse solutions. It cites various academic sources to support the discussion. The report concludes by highlighting the practical application of these strategies in various scenarios, particularly in situations where individuals need to present their thoughts or argue a point effectively. The report is contributed by a student and is available on Desklib, a platform offering AI-based study tools and resources, including past papers and solved assignments.

Critical thinking refers to thinking rationally and logically for about what individual
believes and acts (Ulfiana, 2019). Critical thinking is important while making important decision
and this report will discuss how critical thinking can be improved. Some of the reasons like
improving decision making suggest that it is important to improve critical thinking so that one
can think more rationally and also think in a wider aspect of the situation. Some of the ways
through which individual can improve critical thinking are;
Asking Question- This involves asking basic questions about the problem. These are the
questions. What individual already know? How individual know that? What individual is trying
to do in terms of problem? Lastly asking do individual know everything related to the problem?
This is important as critical thinking is based on something. Concerned with this is
important that all the aspects are clear regarding the problem/situation before individual process
further. This stage of asking questions will clarify doubts related to the situation. Because a
problem well defined is half solved and this will set up clear base for solution Santoso and et.al.,
(2018, January).
Being aware of mental process- This stage will lead individual to think according to their own
mental processing. It will enable individual to understand what they think about the situation.
This is important as many times individual might think like someone else Kenedi, A. K and
et.al., (2019, December). Understanding this will ensure that individual think critically in their
own way.
Doing research- Research is necessary for the critical thinking process without having proper
knowledge we can cannot think critically this helps to take proper and accurate decisions in our
life. In an academic we can collect new ideas through the research and present the facts to the
others about thinking Nold, (2017). This is 3rd most important stage because it is useful in
many situations when we argue with someone, or we are representing our thoughts to the others
then we can use this in a critical thinking to prove our point to the others.
Trying Reversing Things- Thinking in reverse is another fascinating and effective technique,
especially when you’re stuck trying to puzzle through a difficult problem. This stage helps to
find the problems which we have done in a past. We a look aback and found the problems and
rethink about it.

This on 4th rank because reversal thinking does would not get us an immediate solution
to the problems Brookfield, S. (2020). However, it jolts us out of perceiving the problem in the
same old way, which is often all you need to get onto the road to success.
Adjusting prospective - Being a more mindful of our own biases is the great in critical thinking.
It is important for us to adjust our prospective sometimes to find the solution of the problems and
look from the others prospective to get better solutions.
This is on the least rank because we cannot satisfy all the time with the other
prospective because it’s very less possibility to get solution from others.
