The Impact of College Education on Students_1
Education has become an integral part of our daily life. Education not only increases our
skills and credibility in the world market, but also helps us to become a rational and an integrated
individual in the society (Mishkind, 2014). There are profound impacts on the students who go to
college. Higher education is not only precious and valuable for the individual who receives it,
but also the economy and the society as well. People tend to go to college for many reasons.
However, one of the customary reasons for them going to college is for earning more money.
Nevertheless, apart from earning more money, the other benefits of going to college might be:
gaining an out-knowledge of basic education, learning and becoming capable of new skills,
getting an opportunity for group work, meeting diverse people from diverse background and
getting opportunities to give back to the community.
Through college education, there is a corresponding relation between higher levels of
education and higher earnings for the entire racial or ethnic group, irrespective of gender (both
for men and women). As I have also studied in college, I have experienced of getting highly paid
in my profession that I pursued after completing my college. The organizations and enterprises
value the extra skills and expertise we learn from our college for the benefit of their organization.
The organizations nowadays desire for better candidates who would provide them with premium
work, therefore, they choose to hire college graduated students more in greater designations
(Mourshed, Farrell & Barton, 2013).
The graduated students from college are less likely to be smoking at unprecedented rate.
The college graduates are more health conscious and have lower incarceration rate than the
people who have not graduated college before (Kirkwood & Price, 2013). Therefore, it can be
termed that a complete individual with integrity and respect is built in the colleges, up to certain
extent. As I am a college pass out, I have never developed smoking habits in the campus as well
