·INTRODUCTION
Person-centred counselling, is a humanistic approach that deals with the ways in which
individuals perceive themselves consciously. This reports highlights the history of Person
centered counselling concept with the help of the information gather from different author and
critics. After that the report goes on to explain The concept of Person centered Counselloing and
the different benefitt associated with the Person centered counselling whern using the same in
the practical and real life. After that the report goes on to see the different limitation which is
linked with the Person centered councelling when appling the same on day to day practical life.
·MAIN BODY
Person-centred counselling, is a humanistic approach that deals with the ways in which
individuals perceive themselves consciously, rather than how a counsellor can interpret their
unconscious thoughts or ideas. Person centered Counselling was proposed by Carl Rogesrs in the
year 1950s with a thought that theraspy can be simpler and more optimistic as compare to
psychodynamic and behavioural approach. This approach was based on the basis that the human
are the one who are the who has to understand by their oiwn to get a good tretament to the
problem from which they are suffering from (Chan, and Thomas, 2015).
Rogers generally staretd this by calling his technique non-directive therapy. While the goal
behind it was that it is non-directive as possible, he eventually realized that therapists guide
clients even in subtle ways. Roger was having the opinion that the client used to look for the
therapiest for the sake of some sort of the guidence and the guidelines which can help them in
gettinbg the sucess in the future. Eventually, the technique came to be known as client-centered
therapy or person-centered therapy. Today, Rogers' approach to therapy is often referred to by
either of these two names, but it is also frequently known simply as Rogerian therapy.
Person centered counselling is one of the most important therapy as tis therapy is very different
as compared to the other therapy. The biggest reason for the same is that this is the type of the
therapy in which client is repsponsible for improving their life as compare to the other therapy in
which thrapiest or doctor are responsible to improve the life of the patient (Diamond-Smith,
Warnock, and Sudhinaraset, 2018). Another difference between Person cetered counselling and
other therapy is that in which person or the patient decides by them only what is wrong and what
should be done to improve the same. At the same time in the other therapy doctor or therapiest
used to identify the issue which is faced by the company and on the basis of that therapiest used
