5 MANAGEMENT Summary The major focus of the study is to develop the understanding regarding the conceptual evolution of the corporate social responsibility. The evolution of the multiple aspects is clearly explained in this article. At the initial stage, the study draws the attention towards the social sides of the relationships. Despite discussing the financial rewards of CSR, the study lacks the concernsregardingthereasons,location,andtimeofimprovingthecorporatefinancial performance. The study highlighted that the interactions and co-operations of the companies depends on the institutional context. However, it can be argued that the business differences often characterize the interactions and co-ordination among the business and society. Another concern is raised in this study. It is noticed that the study is limited within the large enterprises. However, it can be suggested that the study could expand the information to the small and medium sized enterprises. SME’s are usually connected to the local economies and society more than the larger firms. A new and well-structured theoretical and conceptual tool could have made this study more informative. The existing concepts are yet to be explored for developing the quality of the study.
