This research proposal aims to analyze the corporate social responsibility practices in the context of tourism, Maldives. The research will determine the common interpretation and understanding of selected tourism industry stakeholders in CSR, investigate applicability and implementation of CSR in sustaining Maldives tourism industry, determine the monitoring, maintenance and improvement plan of tourism industry stakeholders’ activities related to CSR, know the macro and micro implementation plan of Maldives tourism official in terms of CSR, and propose strategies in improving CSR strategies in Maldives.
