economies on the world wide basis. There are various benefits of tourism which basically boosts
the revenue of an economy, develops the infrastructure of a country, creates lots of jobs and also
plants the cultural exchange between citizens and foreigners. In the present report, an essay is

impact has became increasingly apparent from Arctic to Antarctica. Tourism has become one of
the important player in international commerce and also represents at the same time as one of the
core income source for many developing countries. This growth has been seen from this
perspective that it has increased diversification and also have major level of competition among
destinations.

According to the World tourism organisation of the United Nations, it is basically about the
different tourism which is focused on industries which normally offers tourism characteristic
products and services(Tolkach and et.al., 2016). UNWTO also defined the twelve tourism
industries which can be said to be serving to the tourists into general form. These industries
basically include accommodation for services, food and beverage serving activities, road
passenger transport, railway passenger transport, air passenger transport, water passenger
transport.
In addition to this, it includes transport equipment rental, cultural activities, travel
agencies, sports and recreational activities, travel agencies, retail trade of country specific
tourism characteristic goods and other country specific tourism characteristic activities. Tourism
industry is basically the large group of these mentioned industries which provides different range
of services and product which is focused on serving the needs of visitors or travellers. This
industry is important because due to its role in the form of commercial activity which creates
growth and demand for many industries. Tourism not only contributes towards activities at
economic level but also generates revenue, employment and also has significant role in terms of
development. It is that industry which creates demand at the initial level in the form of activity
and then fulfils the demand as the group of industries. Within this industry, tourists comes from
different countries and carry the perception and image about the country and shares it to many
other people as well.
There are different types of tourism which includes recreational tourism, environmental
tourism, historical tourism, cultural tourism, ethnic tourism, adventure tourism, culinary tourism
and health tourism(Oliveira and et.al., 2020). Culinary tourism basically refers to aim on food as
an attraction for destination and exploration for tourism. Culinary tourism is also known as the
gastronomy tourism or food tourism which is a kind of exploration of food as the purpose of
tourism. It is basically considered as the important component of the experience of tourism.
