Cultural autobiography of 1st person
Family structure and relationship: She is a female who is married and working in a
beauty salon. She is living in a small family of 5 person, i.e. she herself, her husband, her
mother-in-law and her father-in-law and sister-in-law. She is family conscious girl and always
try to make her family members happy so that they will enjoy their own life. Before marriage,
she live in a joint family of 8 members grandparents, parents with 3 elder brother, the role of her
parents and grandparents is so supportive in her life because they always motivate her to become
a good manager of her own business which is still her dream.
Nationality: She is living in London and her nationality is Romanian and her
grandparents and parents are also Romanian because they all live in Romania.
Rituals of family life: She is a Christian and she always celebrated Christmas and Easter
because it is the biggest festival of Christian religion. Moreover, she spend her entire day in a
salon because she is working as a hairdresser and also study at business management because it
is her dream to become a good manager. Moreover, she also love to cook international food and
special sweets and this reflect that she has a interest in cooking. She enjoys her life as she
belongs to good and caring family who always support her to face any complexities of the life.
Environment where a person grew: She grow in Romania and she completed her high
school in Romania where teacher always support her because she is a brilliant student with good
sense of humour. Her family members always support her to become a good manager and this
influence as well as motivate her. Further, the physical surrounding means her friends and
neighbours are also good and always inspire to do good things for a society and for her family
Individuals and institutions: She completed her high school in Romania where she
learnt different things relate to her personal as well as professional life. Further, she live in a
good company of her friends where she always learn new things and implemented the same.
Every Friday she goes to Church from the age of 18, and feed some small children which she
learnt from her grandfather because he always used to do this work. Evermore, her parents have
a strong influence on her because she respect the words of her mother and father.
Mobility: She actually love to travel in to hot country , but she hates the weather of
London because it is humid. She also like to visit many places where she gain knowledge and
use her existing knowledge as well. Further, she belongs to that family who never bound her
daughter and that is why, she love to travel and free from any boundation as well. As her dream

is to become a good manager but currently she is working in a saloon as a hairdresser which
reflect that her profession may vary but as she have a patience and enough confident that she will
definitely do this in her future.
Education: She completed her education from Romania high school and she also learn
many principles which influence her to become a good and caring person. As she also belongs to
the educated family because her parents and grandparents also completed their schooling in
reputed school which reflect that she have enough knowledge to understand her right and wrong.
Other aspect: her life journey is so good because she is well supported by her family and
never demand anything extra from her parents. While on the other side, she has enough confident
and her upbringing is so good which enable her to cope up with any complexity of her life.
Additionally, her father is her role model from whom she learn practical knowledge and always
share her bad/good things from him only in order to take best advice.
Cultural autobiography of 2nd person
Family structure and relationship: He is live in Birmingham, Manchester with a small
family of his parents and grandparents only. In his life, his parents plays an important role
because they always guide him on her good and wrong deeds. While his grandparents also love
him and support him by sharing their own experience to him so that it will help him to
understand the reality of a life. Beside this, he have a positive relationship with his family
members and also belongs to strong financial background family.
Nationality: He belongs to Birmingham, Manchester and his nationality is Britishers,
but his mother belongs to South while his Father is a Britisher. His grandparents also lives in
Birmingham, Manchester and their nationality is also Britishers.
Rituals of family life: He is studied Engineering and also celebrate Christmas and Easter
because he is Christian. He lives a simple life in which he generally plays football and take care
of their family members especially his grandparents. Moreover, he also celebrates Good Friday
where he donate some amount to the needy people and this habit he learnt from his family.
Environment where a person grew: As he belongs to a strong financial family which
shows that the environment of upbringing is also good because he know how to respect other and
talk with them. Moreover, he love to spend the time with his grandparents because he know that
they share the exact and meaningful life experience which will definitely help in his future life.
He did not like to make friends because he did not trust easily to others.

Individuals and institutions: He admire his parents because they are the one who have a
strong influence and that is why, he never denied their words at any cost. He also respect his
teacher because they helps them to become a good person who understand his family relations.
Further, from his school he started reading motivational books which shows him a right path or
direction. Moreover, he love to spend his extra time with the orphanage where he will easily
share his knowledge with those people who actually needs. As this activity provide satisfaction.
Mobility: his family background is quite strong and as he love to play football, that is
why, he move country to country to participate and watch football matches. Moreover, he also
love to visit the cold and adventurous places where he actually feel nature. On the other side, he
also like to visit other country where he meet different people who belongs to different culture so
that he will easily learn their culture, beliefs and their living. He also love car and that is why, he
want to visit other country in his own car. He wants to become a mid- fielder in football game
but unfortunately his parents wants that their son become a great entrepreneur. Thus, this leads to
creates confusion in his life.
Education: He passed his school from King Edward VI Handsworth Grammar School
where his teacher always inspire him to be a good entrepreneur in his future life. His parents as
well as grandparents also completed their higher study from the top college of UK. Thus, it
reflect that this helps him to become a good person. His parent's principles always influence him
in positive direction as he respect and love his parents. In addition to this, his grandparents are
role model for him and he follow them and also apply their words whenever he find any complex
situation.
Other aspect: Friends have always played an important role in his life where he has
always taken suggestions and guidance from them. There are four best friends of him who have
always supported and encouraged him. The mental breakdown that he suffered when he had to
leave his actual dream and pursue the dream of becoming an entrepreneur as per his parents
wishes was very exhaustive and his friends were the only sources of support in his life.
Comparison and contrast of the two cultural autobiographies
Hofstede's Cultural Dimensions can be used to study the differences between the two
different personalities that have been taken where first one belongs to the Romanian Culture and
the second one is a Britisher (Hofstede's Insights, 2019).

case.
Similarities between both individuals
The normative model of culture can be used to illustrate the similarities that exist
between both the individuals and as the normative cultural mode indicates, the culture is a very
defining factors and the beliefs or the shared ideas between two individuals can be used to
ascertain and evaluate their personalities. The model illustrates that there are certain norms and
beliefs based on which the human nature and personality can be ascertained.
The one major defining factor in the current situation of the two cultural autobiographies
that were developed was the cultural belief that is shared by both of them (Davis, Hennes and
Raymond, 2018.). The first person was found to be a devout Christian and it was found that her
entire family believed in Christianity. They celebrated the Christmas festival and the Easter
festival with devout belief and also visited church on a regular basis.
Similarly, it was found that in the case of second person as well that he and his family
were also ardent believers and followers of the Christianity. They also visited church on a regular
basis and therefore, it can be concluded that this model is a significant framework to understand
the cultural belief of both the personalities (Conner And et.al., 2017). The Normative Cultural

framework can be used to illustrate that both were the believers in Christianity and therefore this
was a similar aspect in the autobiography of both the individuals.
