Cultural and behavioural expectations of studying degree in business
management course
Reflection of learning
Before attending the module I only know that students are asked to behave in certain
manner at any workplace so that set standards might be maintained . However after attending
the module I have learnt about the impact of culture and detailed about certain acceptable
standards or behavioural expectations that need to be strictly followed so that better learning
environment might be maintained (Mintz and et.al., 2019) . Furthermore, cultures are different
and within every social system there are people that follows and practice certain beliefs and
norms that needs to be clearly identified and respected for the same. Moreover, I during the
module I have analysed that if the cultural differences are not identified in the right manner than
it would only lead to misunderstanding and create conflicts between diverse group of people.
Also, during the learning about my topic I have identified that culture has the strong influence
on how people respond to each other in various complex business situations.
Furthermore, it is required that people behave in certain manner so that other people do
not feel disrespected and hurt by the sentiments through others. Also, during the learning I have
realized that if cultural differences are given the prime importance than better trust,
communication and productivity might be assured that will help in achievement of various
personal goals and objectives in the future (Sun ,Teh and Linton, 2018). Moreover, I have
realized that business management topic is very wide and hence while working in any practical
environment it is essential that diversity is understood well in advance so that greater
teamwork and continued business relationship might be assured in due course of time while
working in any business management post. Thus, this module have clearly enhance cultural and
behavioural concepts to large extent that would allow in achieving greater excellency and the
productivity.
Future implications
Moreover this type of learning would assist me in the future where I aim to work in any
reputed retail organisation on the business manager or related post through following the
professional code of behaviour so that better engagement might be developed and chances of
errors are very less or minimum. Also, my behaviour would be guided through following the
professional norms while communicating with other people so that greater teamwork and

morale might be build up (Manolev, Sullivan and Slee, 2019). Moreover, it would allow me to
organize things in accordance with the individual differences so that there are no problems
faced in the future regarding the interaction with other team members in any learning courses.
Also, in my future career this type of learning will help in making me feel comfortable and feel
more confident while establishing interactions with the large groups of people. Thus, it would
help in respecting and recognizing the values that are being incorporated and already existing
within different individuals.
Implementation
In the regards to my learning certain cultural and behavioural expectations in the
business management studies I would assure that this practice is followed constantly through
ensuring consistency and maintaining the required amount of professional standards and
empathy so that people differences are identified and respected to larger extent (Kumar, Zusho
and Bondie, 2018). Also, I would apply this learning in the future retail organisation through
closely analysing the differences in the behaviours of the individuals and analysing the reasons
for the same so that large amount of mutual trust and understanding might be developed
towards each other. Furthermore, I would ensure that various processes of people working in
business are known in advance so that accordingly the best approach might be developed. Also,
at the workplace would assure that I display the team building skills so that daily routine task so
the best possible outcome of the task might be derived in-spite of changed behaviours and
various cultural differences.

Reflection
Prior to knowing about peer to peer learning concepts I have knowledge that learning
is gained only with help of the tutor only as they have the vast knowledge of various business
management concepts (Peer Learning: 6 Benefits To Collaboration in the Workplace, 2021).
However, through the module I have realized that peer to peer learning helps in building the
confidence and helps in developing deeper understanding on the subject. Furthermore, through
the teamwork helps individual in achieving various complex goals in best and well-defined
manner. Also, peer to peer learning helps individual in providing emotional support to each other
so that task might be carried out efficiently. As by studying the business management, the peer to

peer support will help me in learning about taking supports and better learning about the business
management subjects. As learning with engaging and proper mentor helps in improving my
learning experiences also aids in resolving various barriers towards learning while asking as for
solving various problem related to business management. Support from the mentors as learning
with peer helps me in better collaboration and aids in building team working skills as by
performing various assignments and work in learning and acquiring business management
(Martin and Bolliger, 2018). Supports from peers while learning helps in better collaboration and
learning with better team working and performing various assignments with giving opinions.
Also, peer to per supports has helped me in enhancing my learning experiences as by taking
various ideas and opinions. Furthermore, it has helped me in gaining various skills and enhances
my confidence of giving opinion on solving various assignment based of business management.
The main importance of this learning as it helps me in taking various opinions and enhances my
team working skills also working in collaboration wile learning. With this it helped in increasing
productivity and creating better relations as working with peers in team and making various
assignments by closing problems.
Future Implications
As the learning gained as importances of peer to peer working helps in future by cooperating
with various individual by making my career in business management. This learning helps me in
analysing various groups as of performing task with the other as working in group of members
for completing task in the future. As supports from peer help in future by learning and gaining
new perspectives. Also, it helps in performing new opportunities and of making better
connections with the peers. The supports gained by peer helps in resolving various problems
while working in the teams with different individuals (BUSINESS MATTERS: THE POWER OF
PEER-TO-PEER SUPPORT, 2022). also, it aids on grasping new skills and abilities as working
with different talented individual as for completing the task in the future. As deciding to enter
into retail as studying business management it helps in better understanding and working in team
for accomplishing task effectively.
Implementation
The importance of peer to peer supports and team working helps in individual learning, I will
enter into retail industry at a business management position. This support helps me in working
by making team and effectively achieving business goals while working in the retail industry. As

team working aids in collaborating various working by assigning different task to each
personnel's according to skills it also helps in supporting and performing task In effective
manner. As applying this in retail business helps in taking supports and taking various opinion
for resolving problems (Moon, Wei and Miao, 2019). Further, it also helps in learning and
managing various business problems by giving different opinions and supports by taking various
actions. Thus, peer supports helps in creating safer working environment and this prctssives aids
in working and adopting various challenges by solving the issues with the learning taken from
peer supports while learning the business management .
SWOT analysis
Strength
 I posses strong leadership skills through
which I am able to work effectively in
various groups.
 My communication skills are also very
good because of which I am able to
prove my various points to others.
 I am effective in managing my own
personal finances and thus I able to
save lot of money for any kind of future
investment.
 I am strong in building the good
relationships through networking and
able to provide support at times of
needs to others.
Weakness
 I have analysed that my creative
thinking skills are little weak due to
which I am not able to find best
solutions to various problems.
 Furthermore, I have analysed that my
concentration skills are also very weak
that causes hindrance in my learning
process (Kaya, 2021).
 In addition to the above I also need to
develop my time management skills so
that things are carried on time and in
correct manner.
 I need to build up more commercial
awareness so that things might be
carried out more efficiently and
smoothly.
Opportunities
 There are various opportunities that are
available in the business management
filed one being the business manager in

 There are higher possibilities that
working in any reputed firm I might
not like my new boss.

available in current working firm.
 Existence of competitors that have
superior competencies and skills that
might limit the overall growth
opportunities within the current
workplace.
 Negative working environment in my
desired field while working in any firm
would not allow me discover new areas
of growth.
