1) Culture in Caribbean relate to China and the US in dimensions
The Caribbean culture is different from China and US. Caribbean culture promotes leader
to create an environment to staff where it challenges regarding status quo and realize growth.
Challenging norms and conventional thinking is acknowledged (Farnum. 2014). While, in
China, uncertainty avoidance, power distance, collectivism and related cultures are promoted. In
US, individualism is ascertained. However, Caribbean side can be related to both China and US
because collectively productivity has to be accomplished and leaders make emphasis on different
dimensions to achieve the same.
The concerns regarding US are rapid change of technology in the market disrupting
existing technology which is just implemented in developing country because of visionary
leader. Doing business with such leader requires pre-planning of various activities so that
business may be successful. Demographic shifts are also closely monitored by US leaders and
for that lookout are crucial as well. On the other side, focus on Chinese leaders is to reform and
not stimulate in order to attain trade deals with other countries including US. Restructuring
according to leader’s viewpoint need to be analysed so that business can effectively achieve
goals in lieu of deal (Keith, 2019). Hence, it can be evaluated that organisational culture
according to leader’s qualities, skills and abilities are different. Moreover, when doing business
with such leaders, due diligence is to be initiated.
2) Explaining cultural differences and impact on leadership
communication between USA, Canada and South America
Power Distance-
The power distance is when people accept unequal power distribution and privileges of
status as well. In high power distance countries like South America, India, Mexico, there is
respect for age and titles and rules are to be strictly followed. While, countries like USA,
Australia and Israel have low power distance. It affects leadership communication as in one
country leader’s views are in high demand whereas, in high power countries, same privilege is
not given.
Uncertainty Avoidance-
Degree to which people are uncomfortable with risk and change is referred to as
uncertainty avoidance. Countries like USA, Canada have low uncertainty avoidance whereas in
