It is a yearly event held in theFederation Square, Melbourne (Visit Victoria home. 2017)PurposeThe purpose of the event is to provide entertainment to the people of Melbourne. Thepurpose is to give chance to talent the city has. It gives opportunity to those talented artists thatare not able to display their talent to the public. It benefits both the public and the artists. This isone of the best ways to end a year. It brings social harmony and culture of the people ofMelbourne can be promoted. The event will help people know the various genres of music in theplace as well as music of other part of the world. Cultural events help in social inclusion. Musicis the best way to know the culture of the place. Outsiders who would be visiting the event wouldbe able to know about the culture of Melbourne as well as Australia. Cultural events areorganized for restoration and preservation of Culture (Kim, Boo and Kim 2013). In presentmodern atmosphere, it is very difficult to restore and preserve culture. Music and dance are thetwo ways in which cultures can be passed on. Melbourne is land with cultural diversity itpromotes multiculturalism. In such case, it becomes very important for people to identify thedifferent cultures in Australia.
