importance of conscious capitalism. Before starting the workshop we have introduced
ourselves to the participants. From the initial discussion we got to know the people believe
that profitability is the only purpose to develop the business. In the 21st century people still
believe that business is about selfishness, greed and exploitation. However, in the concept of
conscious capitalism the business is about self-interest and value creation. The value can be
increased depending on the development of the satisfaction of customers and employees. We
have also mentioned that business is all about providing the equal opportunities to everyone.
During the workshop we have analysed that most of the participants believes that poverty is
the curse. They believe that due to this curse they will not be able to improve their position.
They also blame the government for their position. Through the workshop we have tried to
make them clear that government is not the responsible for their situation. In our society if we
live poor it is our fault that we have not tried to improve our situation. Large number of
governmental and nongovernmental organizations are being involved in developing the social
standard of us. By continuing that we have also mentioned that the business development is
also not depends on the process of voluntary involvement. In this process the workers,
suppliers, investors and customers play the equal role.
Therefore if the voluntary cycle will run properly, this helps the 0rganizatyion to
bring the success. In the workshop, business ethics has got the higher level of importance.
Among all the participants, we have selected 5 participants, and we asked them to define
business ethics in their words. Most of them have defined the business ethics with the
agreement of stakeholders and internal organizational culture. By adding that we have
mentioned that in the case of business ethics people are being involved depending on the
voluntary practices. We have also mentioned about the Heroic people who work for more
than 15 hours. If the social structure in the third world countries is being observed, it will be
identified that most of the people in these countries are belong to the poverty level. In these

countries, a large number of people are involved in the primary activities too. By giving the
examples, we have tried to shed light on the important fact that the government of any
country will not be able to lift people from poverty. It has also been mentioned any charity
providing institution will not be able to improve the situation of people. We have mentioned
that the people can improve their condition with their self beliefs. As the aim of the workshop
was to increase the awareness of people about conscious capitalism, therefore, in order to
improve their skill, we have decided to introduce the purpose of business.
In this study, it has been mentioned that in the starting point we have asked people
about the purpose of business and they have replied that business is being developed for
achieving the profitability. However, we have mentioned that profitability is not the only
purpose. We have mentioned that profit is needed to achieving its impacts. In order to make it
clear we have given the example of our human body. We have mentioned that we need red
blood cells for the living, but this cannot be the purpose of our life. The blood cells are
required to fulfil the purpose of our life. This is the major difference in setting the purpose of
every action in our daily life. We have mentioned that in the case of any organization if it will
focus on achieving the profitability rather than bringing any kind of value to the organization,
this will make the organization boring.
On the other hand, we believe customers and employees both are equally important
in order to bring any kind of changes in the organization. Therefore, satisfied employees and
customers are very important in order to develop the business organization properly. We
believe that creativity is connected with the job satisfaction. If the employees in the
organization will be satisfied in their work, they will be able to bring the innovation in the
organization. We have also mentioned that in order to bring the changes in organization
stakeholder orientation is very important. We believe that by maintaining a healthy
relationship with the individual stakeholders, the company will be able to develop its

business. We have asked the participants how to develop the relationship with the
stakeholders, and they have replied the reward and recognition. By continuing this, we have
mentioned that if the relationship is needed to be improved, the stakeholders are needed to be
shown a large number of loyal customers. This process is very effective in the case of gaining
the trust of them. During discussing the conscious capitalism culture, a large number of
participants have responded that they are already aware of the importance of developing the
effective organizational culture in the workplace. By adding this, we have mentioned that the
conscious culture depends on the policies of the organization.
It has been mentioned by us that the conscious culture is considered as one in which
the Conscious Capitalism policies are being permeated by the enterprise. Here the fostering
spirit of cooperation and among all stakeholders are being maintained. We have also shed
light on the conscious leadership process. We have mentioned that in the case of conscious
leadership it is very effective in the case of driving the work and business activities in the
organization. At the end of the workshop, we have asked few questions regarding the
business purpose, importance of conscious capitalism and its benefits to the participants.
They have given the satisfactory answers, which has helped us to understand that the
initiative of us was successful.
