INTRODUCTIONIn the present era, as the world has changed in a significant manner. Thus it is importantfor businesses to maintain and manage the change and also due to this change the culture at theworkplace should be undertaken with due care. It is highly competitive world out there and inorder to work efficiently and sustain the businesses firms need to retain its employees. As theworld has grown, certain technological developments and new practices have been developed byvarious organizations in order to retain the employees at the workplace (McDonald and Strang,2016). There are different techniques through which a firm can make the move in order to buildthe organizational culture of such type that it makes the working of the people efficient andeffective with respect to business objectives.The present report is undertaken in order to lay emphasis on the recent issue regardingthe culture of the organizations in UK. Thus for the purpose of the study the organizationundertaken here is "Welsh Utilities Regulator" which is a public company and deals in carryingout regulations of water, gas, sewerage and electricity within industries in wales (Sadat Safaviand et.al, 2013). Thus the purpose of taking the firm here will enable the reader to better gain thebetter understanding of the topic and also helps the scholar to write the essay by having anunderstanding of actual scenario. TITLE To identify the factors or elements which drives the employees to feel motivated and builtsuch an organization which encourages innovation and creativity. A study on Welsh UtilitiesRegulator.MAIN BODYAs per the case of Welsh Utilities Regulator they have been engaged in providingbonuses to employees over many years. But in the recent year it has been seen that performancelevels of employees were not up to the standards as it was set by them and the performance wasnot even matching the past standards set by the employees (Verma and Pande, 2013). As pertheir evaluation to the problem they have founded that this year’s performance may be due to thenon-distribution of bonuses.According to view of author, an understanding from this scenario itcan be said that in order to have consistency in the operations a firm needs to innovate in its

activity of making the people work under different situations. They needs to develop anatmosphere where an employee feels free and motivated to work. The feeling of employeeshould be such that the work he/she is undertaking is their work not companies work (Alessandri,2014). As the case has suggested that abc has been delivering 35% of bonuses to its employeesevery year irrespective of the performance levels of the employees thus by such an effort of thetop level of the regulatory body also the employees are not performing then it is a seriousconcern for the organization as if the performance of employees will get affected than the supplyof power, water and etc. will get affected thus it is important for people to make the adjustments.As far as current situation is concerned it is important for managers to undertake the change atthe workplace which makes them to achieve the solutions related to the problem and thusapplying the most specific one will help in gaining those performance levels of employeesagain(Radnor and O'Mahoney, 2013). Further it is noted that managers of Abc Company shoulddevelop a change in the current performance management policy which will make them alignwith the latest practices which are carried out in the markets.However, Author has stated thatmanagement should adopt such strategies which makes them unique from the other regulatorybodies and also the strategies should be smart.In addition to this, it can be said that by having an application of work place measures theissues can be overcome in diverse manner. With an application of diverse valuable aspects thework practice can be advanced. For example, working hours standards has been renewed whichallows to have improvement in the morale. It is because the work place quality and environmentwill get affected in positive manner. Along with this, cultural values need to be advanced incritical manner so that long term sustainability can be advanced. Reward management systemcan also be considered as critical aspect which allows to advance the continuous development. This era is so much competitive that if you don't act in a suitable manner then you will bethrashed and your organization will start losing the game (Van der Voet, Groeneveld andKuipers, 2014). Thus to have the competitive spirit on and make the others work hard to beat youit is vital for the businesses like Abc Company to build an organizational culture whichempowers the employees in relation to working. Thus which motivates them to carry out workspecifically. Further in order to carry out the change abc can introduce various programs orgames or weekly meetings which can make the employees interact to each other and also helps
