CURRENT TREND IN THE SPORTS TOURISMThe current trend in UK particularly in the niche market can be analyzed that of sports tourism which is key to the people visiting England. The British organization has stated that sports tourism has been the main attraction of the tourist as they love watching sports events held in London which is main global center of finance and culture of the country. The chart represents that equipment consumption was 1.5 billion in the 2015. While, 1.1 billion for Spectators sports and for Sports gambling, money spent was also 1.1 billion. TV and satellite consumption counts for 4.4 billion in the economy. 0.4 billion was spent for Sportswear. The England The Englandsports tourism industry worth for $3.2 billionand also graciously welcomes nearly 4 million travellers all around the world. On an average, visitor contributes up to $1200 per trip which is two times of people’s spending when travelling to visit Britain. The main sports events are held in Britain such as Premier league, Wimbledon opens and Ryder Cup etc. whichattracts sport lovers. The sport fans were also attracted to Britain with over 8,000,000 football fans. The stadiums which have been favorable to more number of tourists were Wembley stadium, Anfield, the Emirates stadium, Goodison Park and Stamford Bridge were main choices of fans. Out of 8,000,000 fans, 2,000,000 were foreign tourists visited in Britain for viewing football matches. The next sports are Golf and Rugby which draws fans from nations like Ireland, France and USA.From Australia, most of the cricket fans are attracted mainly for Cricket. On the other hand, Olympics held in London has showcased profile of Britain with the Nation Brand for sports and tourism. It can be analyzedthat Olympic has drawn attention of viewers from TV over week period in more than 200 countries in the world and has benefited economy in the best way possible.
