Ping
The ping direction is a Command Prompt order used to test the capacity of the
source PC to arrive at a predefined goal PC. The ping direction is typically utilized as
a basic method to check that a PC can convey over the system with another PC or
system gadget.
The ping order works by sending Internet Control Message Protocol (ICMP) Echo
Request messages to the goal PC and sitting tight for a reaction. What number of
those reactions are reimbursed, and to what extent it takes for them to return, are
the two noteworthy snippets of data that the ping direction gives.
For instance, one could find that there are no reactions when pinging a system
printer, just to discover that the printer is disconnected and its link needs
supplanted. Or on the other hand perhaps you have to ping a switch to check that
your PC can associate with it, to dispose of it as a conceivable reason for a systems
administration issue.

Robtex was pretty useful as the WHOIS, both websites were able to provide
relatively useful information about the domain name. They provides server names,
count mail servers including ip numbers. There are also other websites such as
dnsstuff.com, iptools.com, dnsreport.com and samspade.org.

Traceroute
This command is used to see the path of the packets which transfer from the source
to destination machine. In windows the command for trace route of the packets is
tracert.
