Introduction
Cyber security uses to secure information assets of a company. It uses
different tools and techniques to protect the resources of company through proper
arrangements of security softwares and configuration. This report will provide
threats and potential risk of an organization and how can they secure their
resources from cyber-attacks [1].
Most of the organizations are having their confidential information at clouds
or computer system in their premises. Therefore, it is necessary to secure them
from the threats and attacks. Attackers can use loopholes of network and other
vulnerabilities to hack the whole website or system of an organization [2]. They are
having many different purposes to hack a website or information, such as ransom,
data breach, and many more [3].
This report will provide details about the potential threats, risk and
penetration tools. It will provide details of technologies to overcome the effects of
the cyber-attacks. It will also explain about required resources and business
benefits in the later section of their report.
Potential threats and risks
ECommerce websites are highly used in the retails business. As, it is a best
way to provide different products and services to the customers in low cost and high
benefits from customer’s point of view [4]. There are some serious security issues,
which are related to the information of customers. it is a responsibility of the
company to secure the data and information of the customers in their information
system and website [5].
There are many things to notice from security point of view in the website
design and testing. Cyber security is serious concern for eCommerce websites [6].
There are many threats and risks in the website, which are as:
Online Security: it is huge issues because of data and payment transactions are
happened through website. Therefore, it is necessary to manage online security of

data through Secure Socket Layer (SSL) and regular updates in operating systems
and other things [7].
System reliability: there are server and other systems issues, which make errors
in the online payment. Therefore, it is necessary to update API and operating
systems [8].
Privacy Issues: Attackers can use customer’s personal data for different purposes,
such as unsolicited marketing, identity theft, and spamming.
Customer Disputes: there are many incidents in which customers have issues,
such as twice payment for single order, and many others.
Credit card fraud: Attackers can use credit card details for purchasing. Therefore,
it is necessary to watch suspicious activities in transaction [9].
Intellectual Property Issues: it is necessary to maintain a status in market and
website does not contain any thing from other website, such as logos, content,
music, description, and many other things, which are secured from Intellectual
property rights [10].
SEO: it is a major concern for eCommerce website to maintain their website traffic.
Taxation: Organization should include appropriate sales tax in their sales and other
things.
Return of goods and warranty: it is a common issue in supply chain business.
Warehousing and logistics issues: there are many issues, which are related to
shipping of parcel and warehouses [11].
