Dananberg had described Sagittal Plane Theory in 1986 to make it a new modelto view gait which means to understand propulsion with its relevant importance. The basic theory of gait is endorsing the concept of initiating through swing limbwith maintenance of anterior inertia which advances the centre of the bodywhen the mass centre has forwarded with sufficiency. The process is thenprocessed through repetition of the reverse limb which creates muscle lesspower creation with effective outcome. When this activity is occurring with moreeffectiveness and smoothness, reduction of energy is needed in gait. The motionis only Impeded through resistance of wind and changes in the gravitationalfactor like movement of walk through uphill, Dananberg has told the fulcrumeffect which is gained inr elation to direct angulation of the forefoot with thesurface which supports. Motion that is impeded only by wind resistance and gravitational changes (ie.walking up hill), Dananberg describes the fulcrum effect gained as relateddirectly to the angulation of the Forefoot to the support surface. The moreperpendicular the LA of the metatarsal to the support surface the moreeffectively the foot can transfer weight creating the rearward thrust and theforward momentum. If motion is blocked, can’t transfer weight and the foot wontlock, which decreases the efficiency of the foot. The ability of the metatarsal tobecome perpendicular is dependent on the ability of the 1st MTPJ to allowsufficient motion in the sagittal plane (Df/Pf)of the hallux if the 1st MTPJstruggles, the whole foot will struggle
