Data Analysis Tools and Application for Impact of Pandemic on UK Healthcare

This research aims to analyze the impact of the pandemic on UK healthcare with regard to patient admissions and ventilated beds used by patients. The study uses qualitative and quantitative research methods and secondary data sources. The data is presented using charts and graphs. The research identifies achievements, conclusions, group function, improvements, issues, and recommendations for future research.

INTRODUCTION
Aim:
To analysis the impact of Pandemic upon UK health care with regard to patient admitted,
ventilated beds used by the patient.
Objectives:
 To identify the concept of pandemic.
 To evaluate the impact of pandemic upon UK health care with regard to patient admitted,
ventilated beds used by the patient.
 To assess various challenges face in the pandemic situation in the health care sector with
respect to admitting the patient and ventilated beds used by patient.
 To provide necessary recommendations to overcome the different challenges faced by
UK health care sector in the time of pandemic.
Methodology
This project is used the qualitative research and quantitative type of the study. This research type
could allow the scholar to collect the required information and then to present the same in the
most effective manner. The current methodology could allow the scholar to cover every single
aspect in the study conducted by the scholar. Secondary source are also used to collect the
required information. These sources are valid, authentic and less time-consuming which could
favour the scholar to collect the most desired information and data that can support the aim and

objectives set behind thee study is performed (Allesina and et.al., 2018). Qualitative and
quantitative methodology consider all the theoretical as well statistical aspect of the topic of
study. Both the type of methodology could favour in forming the most useful conclusion out of
the study is performed by the scholar. Methodology always direct to the scholar to carry out the
research in the systemic manner. The entire group was highly focused to carry out the research as
per the methodology of research is designed and set by the scholar.
Data collection
This entire study is based on the secondary data sources. The data is collected through internet
sources and official website of the government that claim all the numbers related to total cases of
covid, patients admitted in the hospitals and such other data and information. The data is
collected only through the official website related to the covid cases that provide the clear and
authentic information. IBN respect to any research study is conducted the authenticity of the data
and information become a significant part (Sileyew, 2019). It is required to use the most
appropriate data and information that can favour to the scholar to approach the research in the
best way possible. Data collection stage put a direct impact over the significance and value
research study will provide to the scholar.
Appropriateness of data
The data that is collected is appropriate enough to support with the conclusive findings in the
study conducted. The whole information and data that is collected could favour to allocate the
rright suitable knowledge and information that can allow the scholar to present all the findings in
the study in the best way possible (Tinitali, Haines and Bowles, 2021). Data could cover all the
potential areas such as patient in hospitals, beds requirements and all respective areas that could
allow the scholar to present the respective findings in the study conducted. Online source that are
used to collect the data and information are convinced and at the same time authentic to provide
the relevant information in the study conducted. The authenticity of the data and information
could favour n approaching the set goals of the study in the most efficient manner.
Methods of presenting and visualizing data
The data is presented with the use of charts, graphs and such related tools. IN the form of
charts and graphs these are the best mode off representing the data and information. Charts and
graphs could make the data more visually attractive and it could allow to present the whole data

and information in the most attractive manner (Wang and et.al., 2019). Charts and graphs add on
the visual effects to any kind of data and information that further make the information look
more attractive ad fascinating.

The patient admitted to the hospital in United Kingdom found the mean value as 1725. The
median value is 1688 and the standard deviation occurred as 422. The patients that are in hospital
contain thee mean value as 15081, median as 15092 and standard deviation value is 3082.
Vaccination bed on the other hand carry the mean value as 115, median as 22, mode as 11 and
standard deviation value is 189.

The total number of cases in the year 2020 in England is found as 217447, in the year 2021 is
354104 and in thee financial year 2022 the respective cases got declined as 36901. In case of
Northern Ireland the cases are very low in comparison to the England that is in the year 2020 the
cases are 4290, 2021 the cases are 7954 and in the year 2022 the cases are 949. In Scotland the
total cases in the year 2020 is 15382, 2021 the cases are 19356 and 2022 the cases are 2561. IN
case of Wales the total number of cases are 14434 for the year 2020, 15238 in the year 2021 and
1624 in the year 2022. Overall from the data collected it can state that in England the most

number of cases are reported. Scotland become the second highest. The population of the
England is more than other locations which make the cases more than any other destination.
Achievements and conclusions-
We conducted the research to figure out the impacts of pandemic upon UK health care
with regard to patient admitted, ventilated beds used by patient. On the basis of the outcomes we
have brought better understanding of the impacts of pandemics upon health care system of the
country. The number of patents admitted to the hospitals have shown a bothering trend. In the
beginning of the year it was surging but latter came under control but from the beginning of
March it took again upward direction (Mahase, 2022) It shows that the pandemic is still grabbing
the people of nation. By the research we have achieved numerous things with respect to the
pandemic and the way it is affecting the national health issues. Patients in hospital are also
increasing which is pointing that the diaspora of the illness is wider and grasping people.
Majority of them are old aged people and the reason is there poor immunity which is making
them sick.
Compares to other neighbour nations of UK the cases are higher in the nation (Mehta,
2021.) By seeing the prevailing circumstances of the country it can be concluded that due to
many reasons which are compelling it to face drastic cases of the pandemic. Like the density of
people in specially urban areas is very dense which is disseminating the virus faster with greater
frequency. Due to economic recovery the business operations are also getting rapid, labour
market is also showing great recovery these all are rational reasons which are enabling
coronavirus to move faster and cover more and more. From the research data in Britain, one in
every 20 people are infected and which has been the sole factor behind growing numbers of
patients in hospitals and soaring occupied ventilation beds. The government also removed
international travel restrictions as well. By these research numerous things have been achieved
like the root cause of growing cases in UK along with what are the factors leading it and why
there is huge raise in the hospital admission were pointed out.
Group function and improvements-
For the purpose of carrying out the research on the undertaken issue the group has worked well
with utter dedication and proper collaboration. All the members of the group come with their

different set of skills and ability which makes such tasks easier to achieve the common goal. The
team divided work to the all members and every and each one was ensured for its liabilities and
duties or roles. All the members were given their tasks with some accountability since the data
which was used in the research was bigger and dynamic in nature so as per the merits of the
members work was allocated. Monitoring of the progress has been undertaken by all the
members and timely reviews, progress, have been traced (Şahin and Şahin, 2020) For addressing
the issues and any type of perils while conducting the research was resolved mutually. Every
member had a clear picture of out intended roles and while conducting research we have also
maintained ethical norms amount the members so can turn out better results. The work and
efficiency, quality have been managed by the standards and benchmarks we have decided in the
beginning.
The research functions had been good yet there are a few areas were by making some changes in
the future may bring better results. One thing what we need to improve was our communication
system it was well-structured yet could have been improved by a few practices. We have ensured
the quality of our work by comparing it with the standards and benchmarks but would like to
inculcate new practice which is cross-checking. So all the members of the team can check the
work of others and can extend their precious suggestion for further improvements it would not
only reduce individuality affects on the reports but also helps to form more balanced ideas which
will ultimately take us to better conclusions (Antonelli, 2022)
Issues in the research and improvements-
The research of the concerned topic had been exploring in nature but there have been a few
issues which offered challenges throughout the process. Collection and analysis of the data was a
tough work since a wast amount of data have been used for the fulfilment of the purpose which
was not handily manageable, Further for the purpose of the research England, Northern Ireland,
Scotland, and Wales were considered which just presented picture of UK (Raisi-Estabragh,
2020.) but it is heavily affected by other neighbour nations too. The impacts of Pandemics on
UK health care was evaluated on the basis of patient admitted, and ventilated beds used by
patient but the sample is not enough since there are other different data are left which could have
changed the direction of research. The people who were not admitted and even did not jab were
also key stakeholders in this research, As different sources suggested that majority of the people

who were admitted to the hospitals were not vaccinated. The research has used secondary data
for the fulfilment of the purpose so there might have been some errors which are unavoidable
due to their nature.
Keeping the issues above we will be making a few changes in our future project. Like for
simplification of such big data can use some modern tools so can reduce our efforts and can also
improve the quality of data analysis. Making the research more comparative in nature would also
improve the implications and outcomes of the projects. In the research just used the data of UK
(Majeed, 2020) and for the purpose different locations of the nation were used, so may go for
better comparative research which would not only bring better conclusions but would also
expand the area of study which eradicates some areas of errors which takes place due to lack of
comparativeness in the study. Can also use different sets of data with different nature which may
gives broader picture and also helps to check the reliability of other sources. Altogether it can be
concluded that by making a few changes in the research process the performance in future might
be soared.
