Business intelligence also known as BI is a set process or technology or architecture that
converts raw data or information into a meaningful and valuable data that drives organisation in
taking appropriate decisions and profitable business actions. The increasing technologies and use
of digital tools and software’s also enhanced the data processing and storing tools. Business
intelligence and data handling software are basically used by organisations to transform the data
into actionable Intelligence and knowledge for appropriate this is science and future actions. The

changes in these business intelligence software and services along with improving the data
handling processes of entities. Therefore the current trends of business intelligence and data
handling techniques are evaluated in the report. The business intelligence tools are constantly
changing the role they play within an enterprise or a company and data science are continuously
in waiting the spaces that each seed into BI.

Self-service business intelligence (BI), is basically an approach or technique of Data
analytics that assist business users and companies to access and work with corporate information
even if we do not hold any appropriate knowledge or background in statistical analysis of data
mining for business intelligence. It has been identified that in coming years the self service
analytics will evolve beyond just said service for analysts but there will be a self service
information for the masses which are not only delivered through some specific tools but also
which purpose built interfaces and applications. The evolution of business intelligence has
moved towards cloud based business intelligence reporting and visualisation tools have changed
the way business leaders leverage data and accordingly make their decisions. The self service
business intelligence is still considered to be the latest and the greatest on demand features
afforded by cloud based software’s (Korovin, Khisamutdinov and Kalyaev, 2018). The self
service cloud based business intelligence brought itself in modern and more recognisable form to
the people and the organisation who needs it the most for making decisions and not just be a
useful tool for the IT desk. Self-service business intelligence has become the third most
important and essential business intelligence tool which is trendy and most commonly used by
business owners. The most important advantage of self service business intelligence tool is that it
allows the users to make decisions based upon their personalized data sets of their own and on
their demand which is accessible to them at any point of time and anywhere in the world. The
evolution in self-service business intelligence brought in cloud based Data collection processing
and storing services which always stay ahead of data volume and capacity available for users at
any moment. The biggest strength of this business intelligence tool and technology and specially
of the self service software is this and that is why it is becoming trendy and evolving everyday
turning into better tools and software air providing is of data handling and data mining to the
users along with gaining advantages of the most relevant or irrelevant information available with
their enterprises.

The small and medium-sized businesses are always in search of new opportunities and
growth factors which will allow them to explore more and more options present in the external
business environment for the success and improvement in their profits of their business

trends of business intelligence tools it has been identified that the current trend which is
flourishing in the market in relation with the business Intelligence and other data handling or
data mining tools is of affordable and most conventional business intelligence tools being
developed for small and medium-sized businesses and business owners (Khosravi and Malekan,
2019). This business intelligence tool provide wide range of areas in order to manage different
costs incurred by the entity and improve the performance of the business allowing it to gain
competitive advantage in the market among other businesses and industry leaders. The
technology and digital world is being evolve and is rapidly increasing its approach to all the
business sectors and industries. Therefore, the small and medium-sized businesses or start-ups
and any entrepreneurship also come under their scope for enhancement and being available for
every business owner in the world. This implies that small and medium sized businesses also
holds an opportunity to evolve and make use of appropriate business intelligence tools according
to their needs in order to handle their data in the best effective manner and make appropriate
decisions accordingly joining all respective benefits of different business intelligence tools and
also so operative in the marketplace in the most effective manner by making use of information
in more actionable and appropriate manner.

According to the evolution and revolution taking place in business intelligence or BI tools it
has been also recognised by the researchers that there will be an emphasis on the tools that will
create more powerful and attractive graphics or in other words more advanced cloud authoring
capabilities. This is another trend which is flourishing in the business intelligence industry where
more advanced and customisable visualisation tools and techniques will be more in demand by
the users for business owners as it will satisfy the data engineers the industry (Stepashko, 2018).
Business analytics in the small and medium sized businesses and industry are also evolving and
slowly moving towards more customisable visual business intelligence rather than traditional
compliance reporting which involves rows and columns in the form of dashboards for browser
based applications and simple graphical elements on mobile devices and their tablets. Power

and flexible which can transform the data in very attractive and innovative manners which are
more graphical and impressive. The visualisations are more interactive and graphical instead of
just static pictures embedded in the business intelligence visualisation which enables the users to
better interact with the power business intelligence dashboards (Asamoah and et. al., 2019).

The report concludes that the business intelligence or the mining for data warehousing tools
and techniques are evolving various changes in the business environment and in there usage.
Business intelligence tools allows the business owner to make use of their existing or new data in
the most effective manner and converting it in a a potential resource for the company so that
appropriate decisions for foreseeable future and business actions can be taken in the most
effective and beneficial which allows them acquires competitive edge in the marketplace.
