Executive Summary
Business intelligence device is projected in this report, particularly the use of
dashboard for supporting the environmental issues faced by the planet Earth. An in-
depth analysis constituting of Descriptive analysis and Prescriptive analysis is
analysed. Each pf these analysis are followed by a SAP analysis. A design model
application is developed. Assistance for the environmental issues is suggested
based on the analysis conducted using a dashboard. At last, Business intelligence
Reporting solution is justified.

1. Introduction
The use of Business Intelligence (BI) tools are encouraged due to their
analytics solutions, especially the SAP BI. The speciality of SAP BI is that it provided
various advanced analytics solutions, along with planning, analysis, machine
learning, real-time BI predictive analytics and so on. This is an analytical report
which presents the environmental issues’ insights via a dashboard which is
developed with the help of BI tool. A thorough investigation will be conducted on the
businesses and their contribution to the environmental issues. The BI tools offer
immense understanding in terms of patterns, helps to derive necessary insights from
the collected data, which helps in handling business decisions with effective strategy.
The benefit of using BI tools is that it fits for all type of businesses, irrespective of
their size or complexities, for increasing their profits. The very first point to use BI
tool is that it helps to discover data, it helps to see the insights of the data and helps
to solve the identified issues which need immediate attention, then it even can
provide future forecasts. These tools helps with analysis and reporting, data
visualisation and analytics applications, and office integration and mobile analytics.
The environmental issues could include ozone layer depletion, water
shortage, environmental change, pollution, deforestation, energy consumption and
many more. The environmental issues must be identified and resolved immediately,
if not here are chances of environmental changes which can lead to greenhouse
gases and result in global warming, which is threating to the human life. As, already
the planet earth is changing with a fast pace, serious actions are essential for both
earth and the lives it holds. The dashboard is expected to help identify the causes
and help in controlling or limiting the identified issues with appropriate measures.

1.1 Problem Statement
The main problem revolves around the environmental issues which are at a
verge to harm the earth’s environment and is slowing causing global warming. The
main issue for global warming is the emission of carbon dioxide which results in
global warming. Global warming must be stopped and so there are various efforts
taken by different levels of organizations.
The gases are released due the burning of fossil fuels which releases CO2
and other types of greenhouse gases. Such emission increases the global
temperatures which traps the solar energy in the atmosphere. However, even certain
natural processes release some amount of carbon. The carbon monoxide gas shows
reaction when comes in contact with the other air pollutants and becomes a threat to
the ozone layer.
Therefore, this investigation ensures to provide a solution to the identified
issues with the help of a dashboard.
1.2 Objectives
The following are the objectives of this project:
1) To know the causes of carbon dioxide and its impact on the
environment.
2) To resolve energy consumption issue.
3) To perform descriptive analysis
4) To perform prescriptive analysis.

1.3 Environmental Issues
The increasing global warming is causing serious threat to the environment of
Earth and is now vulnerable to various environmental threats. However, global
warming is not the only environmental issue which exists, instead there are many
other issues which need to be addressed and researched through real-time analysis.
There are continuous studies to research on this topic, where various organizations
contribute each year the reasons of environmental issues, globally. It is observed
that the high consumption of energy is the serious issue at present. These
environmental issues are linked to the vulnerabilities of calamities. In case of
ignorance towards these issues, it is unimaginable to think of the loss it will cause.
Now, it is a high time to take the environment seriously and work on its improvement
by contributing to its progress. If we fail to be careless about these issues then it can
be disastrous for the Earth.
It is not easy to immediately stop the physical process that is harming the ozone
layer, however it cannot be ignored. It can be solved with a combined efforts and
contribution, for instance, all the families, societies, communities and territories must
work on the earth’s environmental improvement. Only then, there can be some
noticeable change. On the other hand, then this planet can be regarded as a safe
place to live. Hence, the earth demands immediate attention to benefit the future
generations to come. On this note, it is each one of our responsibility to ensure we
contribute to help the environment.
1.4 Impact of CO2 Use on Environment
The impacts of carbon dioxide on the environment can have serious effect on
human life, living creatures, business, and the natural systems. The above sections
