Reflection
The report contains the description of the ER diagram and the database concepts. For this
assignment at first we have implemented the ER diagram that helps us in identifying all the
important business rules provided by the organization. The ER diagrams have been created using
the tool named MS Visio. In addition to this, it is important to have knowledge about the
platform om which the database is to be created. The database has been created on the Microsoft
access database. In addition to this, the explanation about the case study and the entities and the
attributes that are to be included in the database. The entities of the database are doctors, nurses,
receptionists, patients, medicines, beds, prescriptions and admissions. The database provides the
details of the Emergency Unit and the information related to it. The ER diagram displays the
business rule for the organization efficiently and this is very important for us as this provides an
excellent platform for us to implement the database in the MS Access. We have tried to
implement the database according to the ER diagram and made all the possible fields in the
database. In addition to this, we have set up a number of relationships in the database and this
has helped in making the referential integrities in the database. The ER diagram and the database
would be very useful for anyone to read the report and understand the context of the report.
Additionally, we can easily say that after the completion of the assignment we would be capable
to implement any type of database in MS Access.
