INTRODUCTIONDatabase designing is considered as a way of managing all the information and data in anappropriate way (Jagadish and et.al, 2016). Along with designing, the implementation ofdatabase is also considered as an essential factor in which the designed database can beimplemented in the system. The report is about discussing the system and user requirements ofdatabase that is to be implemented in M&S. Also, it involves the designing and implementationof a database system that can help M&S to record and manage all the information of customersso that they can be able to perform all the processes and operations effectively. PART 11. User and system requirements of M&SThe manual processing of systems and operations in M&S has however decreased theoverall rate of production of the company. It is because the world has advanced and digitalised toa level that any process of operation can be achieved in real time. Although M&S is one ofleading retailers across worldwide but there are still some procedures that are being performedmanually such as recording the information of employees, customers etc. and that is influencingtheir productivity to a huge extent. Because of all processes being manual, they may not able toanalyse their current market position and share in the market place. It is because in case ofmanual processing, there are chances that some data can be lost. Therefore, it can be quitedifficult for M&S to evaluate and estimate their market share as well. So, they can involve theimplementation of a database management system so that they can be able to manage all theirrecords and data efficiently and in an appropriate manner. So, for designing of database, theremust be some user as well as system requirements. These are discussed as following :User requirementsThe user requirement of M&S is that the database should be designed in a way that it canbe capable enough of involving the data and information of a larger range. It is because M&S isa leading retailer. Therefore, it is obvious that a large range of customers must be visiting theoutlet on a regular basis. So, the database should be capable to record all the information of eachcustomer. It is considered as a very important factor because at the time of analysing theirposition in market, proper recorded information of customers can help them (Martin and et.al,2018). If M&S ensures the implementation of database, the systems on which it is to beimplemented should be suitable enough according to the system requirements. The hardwareshould be up to date so that it can incorporate the database implementation. Also, along withhardware requirements, all the application software's should be ready and installed properly sothat the database may not throw any load on the system. Therefore, if all the software's andhardware's will be up to date, then the database can work more efficiently. So, these can beclassified as the system requirements for the designing of database that is to be implemented byM&S. 2. Complete functional database system of M&S2
