1.1 Explain how a working relationship is different from a personal relationship
Working relationship is different from the personal relation in many aspect such as
working relationship is based on policies and procedure and agreed way of working in
the organization, whereas at the same the personal relationship is based on the emotions
and are generally in the informal way.
Working relationship are bound by the contracts of employment and code of
practice and one party is always accountable for any sort of the mistake which is made
in the contract where as Personal relationship are not bound of any policies and the
procedure and both the parties involved can be responsible of any mistake or the issue
arises in the relationships.
Taking the medical industry example in working relationship the data about the
patient is not freely transferred between each other staff member without permission of
any senior authority in the organization. On the other side in the personal relationship
information used to shared very freely between both the party without seeking any
permission from someone.
In working relation it is not necessary to have a liking for the other person to
build the bond but in the personal relationship it is require to have a bond between both
party.
1.2 Describe different working relationships in health and social care settings.
Care worker and client: The relationship between care worker and the individual that

they support used to be the working relationship in between them in the organization. In
this both the parties in the relationship used to collaborate and try to plan out the
personalised care plan which they are looking to adopt. In this relationship worker and
client used to have the respect and dignity rather than emotion.
Doctor and Nurses: They are the one who used to share the working relationship
in between them with the sole motive of serving each and every need of the patient in
the hospital. Both the parties in this type of the relationship used to work together with
the sole motive of carrying out the operation of the operation not any thing else.
Manager and Subordinate: This is the other type of the relationship which is
identified in health and the social industry. In this relationship the manager used to
transfer the message to the subordinate in the hospital. Subordinate used to carry out the
operation regarding the order which has been transfer. In this relationship both the
parties used perform the professional relationship as compare to mutual understanding.
2.1 Describe why it is important to adhere to the agreed scope of the job role
It is very important for all the employee to understand the agreed scope of the job role as
it will help the employee in understanding what will be the expectation of the company
will be from the employee at the time of joining the hospital. As by working with the
scope of the job role it can be easily identify the roles and the responsibilities and
accountability are of the employee.
Understanding the scope of job role will also help the employee in the
organization in understanding the different training which need to be taken by the
employee so that they can easily overcome the different problem which will be faced by
the employee ta the time of joining the work at the hospital.
Another important of understanding the scope of the job role is that the
employee in the organization will able to get the idea about the direction in which the
career of the employee is going in the health and the medical industry.
3.1 Explain why it is important to work in partnership with others
Working in the partnership help the organization in promoting the unity at the
workplace, as partnership used to promote the environment in the organization which
used to foster the friendship and loyalty in the organization. As working environment
used to play a very crucial role in organizational success it is very important for all the
hospital to work in the partnership to achieve the goal of the business.
Working in the partnership will help the hospital in improving the efficiency and
productivity of the business as in the partnership there are more than one mind which is
invested in the hospital to solve the problem which is faced by the client or the customer
in the hospital. Also working in the partnership help the employee in the hospital in
getting the support from the other employee in the organization about the issue or the

problem which is faced by them in the organization.
Working in the partnership help the organization in improving the decision
making in the hotel. As in the partnership form of the working in the organization all the
decision which is taken in the organization are taken after the consideration of all the
partner involve in the partnership which eventually increase the efficiency of the
decision making in the organization.
3.3 Identify skills and approaches needed for resolving conflicts
Active listening: Active listening is a skill which is require by the individual in
resolving the different conflict in the organization. As active listener will able to
understand the issue in the better way, individual also has to make sure that they listen
the point of view of both the parties in understanding the real issue and on the basis of
the same decision making will be easy in the organization.
Patience: It is the another important skill which is require by the individual to
resolve the different conflict in the hospital. As it is the one principle of finding the
solution that no matter what the conflict is individual has to give the time to understand
the conflict and provide the best solution for the conflict.
Communication: It is the another main skill which is require by the individual
who is looking to solve the conflict in the organization. Individual has to make sure that
there is a clarity of communication in between the different employee in the
organization, which will help the individual in building the relationship among the
different employee and solving the issue appropriately in the organization.
