Group A: Leadership is Mostly a personality trait
Leadership is one of the essential skill that help an individual to influence the thought
process and motivate other people in different levels. In many cases, leadership skills can be
gained from work experience over many years. However, in significant cases, it has been
seen that most of the leaders within an organisation are not able to deal with the challenge in
spite of high level of experience. Communication skills is one of the essential part of
leadership, which in most of the occasion are an inborn characteristics.
People with good communication skills are often born and brought up in different
environment. In the given context, it can be said that the leadership skills art and in born
characteristics. It has often been seen that natural leaders are able to deal with Complex
situation much more quickly as they have effective decision making skills. They also have
the ability to better control any situation and influence the people with positive energy. It is
also possible for a natural born leader to implement new strategies in their guidance process.
The natural born leader have the tendency to follow their instinct and thereby have the
ability to deal with the most of the challenges. This can also encourage them to take high
level of risks that is necessary in the matter of implementing change within an organisation.
Group B: Leadership is Mostly a learned skill
In spite of the fact that natural leaders are able to take effective decisions, it is often
believe that the skill of an effective leader can also be inherited through various work
experience. With the help of experience from the workplace it is possible for a leader to
change upon their leadership style. This is highly relevant in the context of dealing with most
of the cases in the modern business environment. It has often been seen that for the leaders

who are said to have natural skills often do not have the ability to change. This may not help
them to deal with new challenges and the ability to sustain in the fast changing market.
With the help of experience it is possible for the leaders to deal with the
organisational change. An individual can also inherit the skill of critical thinking that can
help them to predict the changes of the future. It is also possible for the leader to deal with
workers at different level having wide range of working behaviour. The natural leaders may
have effective plan but it has been seen that with inherited skills it is possible for the leader to
execute the plan perfectly.
With the help of the learning ability the visually possible for the leader to implement
change on their leadership style. This is highly necessary in the context of filling up the gap
that exist in the overall organisational performance.
