Passive path defines the least resistance, favouring options that are salient or easy to choose.
Non-decision making is selected to do not make any decision. In this case, passive decision is
the best option for the people. There are many reasons to select the passive decision by the
people in the non-making decision. The two reasons are discussed as given below:
Simple or easy way
It is observed that the passive decisions are simple to understand because in this people solve
the issues without taking any participation or initiative. In this, people can take call for the
problem but does not solve it. That is why; it is easy to take the passive decision in the case
of non-making decision1.
Less expensive
It is another reason to select the passive path by the people in non-decision making. In the
passive decision, it is easy for people to take the decision and there is no requirement to

compare to active path2.

Passive path is a decision in which people make call by not doing anything. It is explain in
depth with the help of example of real life.
Persuading manager
A manager develops the policy in order to achieve the success in the market. It is observed
that the manager of an organisation always gives the order to their subordinate but never take
initiative to perform those activities themselves. The employees of the organisation obey the
rules and regulation that develops by manager for the achievement of the organisation. The
objective of a manager is fulfilled by giving the order but without doing anything. It is an
easy for manager to take the decision and giving the orders to their employees. It has been
seen that the manager does not take any helps to the other experts in the case of non-making
decision. It indicates that it is less expensive process as it does not hire any expert to take
