Executive Summary
This report is prepared by me, Project Manager of the Arcadis Australia Pvt Ltd, to carry out
demolition of a single-storey building in Campbell for construction of block of four units by
Minter Ellison as per appointed by Defence Housing Australia (DHA). Report will discuss
the management plan required to carry out the demolition work at the site with proper safety
measurements. Safety guidelines provided by Safework Australia will be followed for the
demolition of the building and this plan is prepared by following the guidelines by Safework.
Report will give the details of the principal contractors, demolition contractors, workers,
environmental consultants, asbestos assessors/removalist and other workers and contractors
needed for the completion of project. Guidelines needed for the safety of the environmental
hazards due to the demolition work like air quality, water quality, waste management, and
tree management, asbestos dust management will be discussed in the report. Effects of
demolition work on the adjacent infrastructures and how these effects can be minimised will
be given in the report. Rules for managing the traffic near the work site will be discussed so
residents in the work area would not face any problem due to the project and hazards and
risks associated with the demolition can be minimised on the health and safety of working
personnel and residents near the site.
