INTRODUCTION
The report will cover basic description to some legal framework that supports health and
social care services (Dyer, 2018). National Health Services will be taken as consideration to
address the mentioned requirements of report. It will describe the importance of technologies in
healthcare services and set ups.
THEME 1
Legislation related to health and social care
Healthcare legal framework provides standardized services to community and derive
quality of practices to health carers (Martin and et.al., 2015). Legislation related to health and
social care are-
Health and Social Care Act, 2012 has integrated different social and health care services in a
centralized reform to overcome significant health issues persisting in community.
Care Act, 2014 has included legal components and standards to safeguard adults from issues like
abuses. It has provisions of Human Rights Act, 1998 for equal right and support to each patients
and provide them different rights related to safeguard their own health issues.
Public Health Act, 1875 was enacted to maintain high level of safety measures with the help of
local communities to safeguard public from diseases and health issues like Cholera. It has a
provision to support public by controlling water supplies, sewers reparation and managing other
building standards.
National Assistance Act, 1948 came into force to support physically disabled community by the
help of different local authorities (Pencheon, 2018). Section 47 of act has up- scaled status of
disabled people. It has introduced provisions for handicapped, elderly, sick individuals and
provide them utmost support.
Mental Health Act, 1983 consists provisions to safeguard patients suffering from severe mental
disorders. The act had been upgraded in year 2007 which significant alterations in respect to
mental health carer and sufferers. The alterations in Mental Health Act has improvised
supervision of patients. It has focused on consent that need to be taken before imparting ECT to
patients (Maylea and et.al., 2018). As per the act, managers have a responsibility to deliver
suitable environment to patients under age category of 18 years. Under this act, people with
mental illness can be detained after a proper assessment conducted either by psychiatrists or any
other mental health worker.

Mental Capacity Act, 2005 has devised certain important instructions in favor of sufferers,
patients of mental disorders. It has defined authoritative decision making power to carers for
patients who are not capable enough to take decisions by their own (Maylea and et.al., 2018). It
is the responsibility of health care professionals to take all required decision of mentally unstable
patients treated by them.

Promotion of patients' physical, mental health and well being in Health and Social care practice
Components of Health and Social Care Act, 2012 inhibits policies for health carers and
performance indicators to raise their quality of performance. It has significant provisions for
different managerial functions to perform healthcare services (Martin and et.al., 2015). These
legal structure for health and social care has increased the awareness of patients in respect to
different options available to cater health care services.
National Assistance Act has provided legal rights local authorities to manage, assist
needy people and provide them adequate healthcare services (Martin and et.al., 2015). National
Health Services and its trusts have incorporated all its health carers to take care of communities'
health issue and to record health data effectively.
These laws and legal framework has developed health carers' performance at professional
level. It has built, generated and promoted various secondary and tertiary healthcare facilities
with involvement of different resources. It has presented different suggestive and alterations that
need to be done within existing healthcare policies to strengthen and support well being of
community (Bolton and et.al., 2019). Healthcare laws and legislation inhibits variant of
provisions for training and assessment of carers to perform significant healthcare services. It has
developed a common approach for local authorities to implicate healthcare services with shared
goal and thus creating a large body of facilitators for delivering and promoting physical, mental
health and well being of communities.

Technology that link to health and social care
Health and social care services are strengthening by the help of digitization. It has
increases health care systems and has provided extensive support to healthcare professionals and
service users. With the help of Tele communication and Tele diagnosis, carers now cater patient
irrespective of their locations (Bolton and et.al., 2019). Physicians need not be present physically

to address patients' health issues. Apart from this, technologies have delivered management
systems and healthcare authorities. High range and types of technologies are being used by NHS
to strengthen health and social care services. Under its Digital child Health System, carers
receives information related to health data of child health and deliver suitable actions, preventive
programs to increases child health (Biehal, 2019).
Electronic Patients Records and Prescription have reduced manual handling of records
and provide high level of support in storing public health data. Record locator helps healthcare
professionals to find patients' health data easily (Meinert, 2019). Automated screening services
has developed a modernized way of reporting and recording the health data and its study.
NHS have extensive range of digital tools to perform health and social care services. It
has received diversified range of advantages in performing and providing health services at
community level. Its interactive mapping systems has reduced problems of service users in
finding nearby service providers. Healthcare statistical analysis, planning, designing and data
collection have been supported by various digital analytical software (Maylea and et.al., 2018).
Along with it, the development and usage of Hospital Information Systems has provided
extensive support in accumulating and saving huge amount of health data.

CONCLUSION
The report has summarized that significant alterations and up gradation in designed laws
has derived suitable support to growing need of healthcare systems. Healthcare technologies
have provided adequate facilities in performing healthcare surveys and implementing social care
frameworks. Furthermore, the report has defined that healthcare legislation has introduced
number of healthcare related functions that highly supports the well being of community, educate
them with respect to number of health related issues persisting within health infrastructure.
